We enjoyed our stay in a great location and benefitted from the rapport with the owner/manageress.

The location near the marina was perfect for us. The room was well served by large windows, one with a marvellous view out over the marina. The owner was very obliging and did all in her power to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was extra, it was basic but satisfying. Plenty of places to eat or shop within a short walk. The general ambience was warm and friendly. Great value for money during a peak period.

The room was very comfortable although my wife was itching a bit from what she thought were little mites. Bathroom okay, though the shower cubicle was rather snug. No kettle facilities in room a small negative. Flight of stairs a challenge for the less mobile.

Handy location for the ferry. Recommend.

Large airy room. Spotlessly clean. The hotel room was very comfortable. The hotel would benefit from a lick of paint throughout but it was clean and comfortable. The lady on the reception was extremely helpful. Excellent garage parking attached to the hotel for our motorbike.

Comfy Classic Port Hôtel

Spacious room, very comfortable. Quiet at night. Terrific blackout shutters. Steps from the basilica and the Alliance Française. Just a short stroll on the curving old rues and you’re among the shops and restaurants and squares. A classic port hotel that reminded me of hotels of the 1980s, which is a good thing. 🙂 I’ll stay there again.

This is not a critique so much as something people should know that I didn’t see on booking.com: Not only is the check-in time 4 p.m. but the hotel is closed from midday until then, so don’t arrive early hoping to store luggage there.

Great Overnight Stay

The lady owner was great - nothing was too much trouble - could not have asked for a better host.

Unfortunately I did not ask beforehand but I was given one of the three rooms on the third floor - and there is no lift!! My fault - plus the exercise did me good (I hope!).

Good hotel for ferry close to restaurants and shops.

Clean comfortable good location. Lots of shops restaurants and the port nearby. Perfect for the ferry. Breakfast basic but good. Choice of 2 cereals orange and apple juice breads meats cheese. All breads meats and cheese served to table along with yogart tea coffee and hot choclate and bread.

Bit noisy but it is near the port shopping and restaurant center of cherbourg so that's to be expected.

Good location close to the city centre with free public parking outside. The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful.

Both the external appearance of the hotel and its public areas are somewhat tired. Internal soundproofing isn't great and the bed was rather soft.

Friendly staff at check-in, decent bathroom, relatively spacious room. Stayed only for one night, so cannot say very much beyond that, but was perfectly fine from my perspective The location is pretty close to the sea (it's a bit of a walk - about 15 minutes - to the train station, which is fine and more so from the ferry terminal, which isn't super convenient, but the area is much nicer than what I saw at the ferry terminal and it's still manageable on foot - maybe 30 minutes)

I liked the view of room and the location

we arrived from the ferry early in a morning so we went to put our bags in hotel as planned from previously with the owner. she asked us if we could come bak early at 12 pm to chek in as it was raining but unfortunately as we had planned during the day we coudnt come bak at 12pm so I texted her to said sorry that we will be there about 4pm but when we arrived at 4 I wanted to explain the situation to her . why we didn’t make it at 12 pm but she was very rude , didn’t ask about our stay. she should be more talkative with guests as it’s hospitality it’s boot about just taking money. it was very quiet so she should have time to make a conversation

Great located small sized hotel with super friendly host. Love the petit dejeuner and the old style decoration with cracking/noisy floors. Little bit outdated but who cares. Good WiFi. I will recommend this place
