Fagotto Art Residences

We had a wonderful 5 night stay in this beautiful boutique apartment in old town Chania with a location just out of the hustle & bustle but close enough to all the action. Spacious, tastefully decorated & well appointed on the first floor we really enjoyed waking up to birdsong in the mornings in the pretty old town backstreets. Mata was an exceptional host who went above & beyond to ensure we were making the most of our time in Chania. We still talk of her lovely personalised care & how we will always remember her help to organise & book our trip to hike Samaria Gorge. Also the cleanliness of our apartment was exceptional as was the beautiful Sophia who was so kind to us. The only issue if you’re noise sensitive which we got used to was a location above Fagato wine bar that was open late nights which seemed to quieten at 1am but there are people in the streets on any night downstairs. We used ear plugs provided by the host. Our room on the first floor was on the corner/ side street & also had shutters to help.So if you’re noise sensitive be pre aware of this. The location can not be beaten here & each morning we had breakfast on the water at the end of our little street overlooking the Venetian Harbour.Parking has very recently become paid with only 4 hours maximum so check with the host on what solutions have been planned for tourists driving to old town. Mata helped us with a ‘secret’ spot which made us have a stress free car experience which could otherwise have been tricky. Thanks for a wonderful stay at Fagato Art Residences Mata! :)

Some noise from patrons at the wine bar downstairs & patrons hanging about outside the bar in the street below until late. We got used to it & you might even like to enjoy the nightlife.

Room was great. Maisonette lead to roof terrace which was perfect to sit out on first thing in the morning or later in the evening. Location was a few yards from the harbour front.

Open shower may not be to everyone’s taste but plenty of other space available to offer privacy.

a very good location, in the historic center and very close to the waterfront with restaurants, a minimalist but cozy design, spacious and quite complete in terms of facilities.

The building is very old, the floors are warped and creaky, and there's a pretty noisy bar under the apartment, active until late.

Great location, nice terrace, loved doors opening onto balcony.

Toilet in the bedroom, no door on shower, not finished to high standard, fridge door broken and freezer didn’t open as fitment in way, hard work to carry suitcase upstairs,
