Anaem Eclectic Rooms

Everything! The room itself was modern but cozy, the balcony was the perfect size for a pre dinner drink and the location was phenomenal!

The accommodation is perfectly located in the heart of the Old Town, on a peaceful, leafy street. The room is stylishly and charmingly decorated, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. It is spotless, cozy and thoughtfully designed, with attention to every detail. The long balcony overlooking the greenery is a real highlight. Konstantina is an amazing host — friendly, positive, accommodating and quick to respond. The welcome drink and biscuits were a lovely touch. Self check-in was smooth and hassle-free, even though I arrived after midnight.

The only minor downsides are that the shower has no door, so water splashes onto the bathroom floor, and the Wi-Fi can be a little unreliable at times.

The location is excellent. You're steps from the Venetian harbour, a few minutes' walk from the beach, and close to every part of the Old Town, with plenty of good restaurants, cafés and tavernas nearby. The taxi and tour pickup point is also very close. We stayed in the triple room, which was spacious, comfortable and cozy. The private balcony was a real bonus, both for drying clothes and for a glass of wine in the evenings. The bed was comfortable, though a bit soft for my taste. The staff were the highlight. They were attentive, and communication was smooth from start to finish. Konstantina was especially warm and even brought us pastries one day. The welcome of raki, water and cookies at check-in was a lovely touch. Overall we felt very much at home.

Soundproofing: On two nights other guests kept us awake, once with shouting at 4am and once with loud music at 2am. The rooms and hallway aren't insulated enough to handle this. Thicker doors alone would make a big difference. Bathroom privacy: The window in the shower faces the toilet and looks out toward a terrace above, so it feels exposed. Frosted glass would solve this while still letting in light. Furniture: It's functional, but it feels dated and a bit mismatched. The room is large enough to be much more modern and stylish. It's nice, but it could easily be great. These are small fixes for a place that already gets the most important things right. I'd happily stay again.

Positioned in a quiet street within the old town of Chania very close to the harbour and all amenities. Room was clean and very comfortable with a lovely balcony. It has been created within an old building, which has been beautifully renovated. Parking is possible at a nearby multistory car park, only 5 minutes walk.

No handrail on stairs. Parking is very difficult in Chania since the local authorities changed the regulations. All nearby parking areas have a maximum of 4 hours stay, not helpful if you're staying overnight
