Very slow and empty reception, I had to run after them to get smth done. You can hear literally anything on the floor - there is zero sound isolation in the rooms

The fact that when I paid on booking I was quoted a full price and at the hotel on arrival I was told I had to pay an additional charge of €2 euros city tax not reflected in the booking.com final price.

Disappointed hotel - No en-suite facilities.

Location

There are no en-suite facilities in any bedroom. Users have to use communal toilets and communal showers. In this day and age this is not acceptable. Wasn’t clear in advertising that there were no en-suite facilities. Receptionist indicated that advertising the lack of ensuite facilities was clear.

An economical venue in a gorgeous town

What a treat! This is a real gem of a place as I booked an individual room for a very economical price. I was also fortunate enough to have a fantastic view from my room. The shared bathroom facilities, of which there were sufficient, suit me and my way of travelling and it also helps to keep the cost down.

This place was great. Right off the Via Francigena. Nice big room and we even had a view of the lake.

Friendly place with good restaurant

Location by waterfront in beautiful old town. Very friendly staff. Comfy beds. Good food in the popular bar/restaurant. We stayed Thursday night & it was very quiet overnight, once the restaurant closed. Very close to via Francigena walking trail.

Shower curtain too small in shared bathroom so water went everywhere. Kettle & tea in corridor is a good solution but fridge froze our milk. Only paper cups and wooden stirrers so if travelling with own food need cutlery/utensils. We left at 8am & restaurant was closed so you need to find a cafe if you want breakfast.

Mildew and noisy

Location and restaurant downstairs is very convenient

The whole room and duvets smelled of mildew like they were left sitting in the washing machine too long. Smell was very strong and no clerk or receptionist available to change them. The location is convenient but it is very noisy when the festival and concerts in the square go until past midnight.

The location is excellent,The restaurant is very good

, but sharing a bathroom is not very pleasant. I had a group of French people who I think cooked in the room. There was a frying pan in the bathroom and the smell of food, which made a lot of noise afterwards. The lock on my room is not working properly, they didn't clean my room in the two nights I spent there.

Perfect location, clean room and clean shared bathroom, breathtaking view from the window of the lake and mountains. Public parking is available in front of the building (8 CHF/day should be paid at the reception by cash(!)).

A perfectly located and lovely hotel

Great place and lovely large rooms full of character. Perfect location with lake/mountain views, right in the heart of Vevey and a few steps to the lakefront. Great to have a good restaurant in the building with a lovely terrace too.

I’m not a fan of shared bathroom facilities, but knew what to expect when I booked it so not an issue.

No kitchen/fridge to store cold items, lack of plugs near one of the beds; 2 twin beds are actually pushed up right against each other, which worked well for us but may not be what some people want if they don't want to sleep next to each other

Hotel in the very centre of Vevey, with a lake and central square views, 100m from port and promenade, pizza restaurant in-house.

Even for a premium suite the bathroom is shared, a very claustrophobic elevator, very uncomfortable to enter the floor from the lift.

Great location, close to beach, train station, bus station. Shared bathroom and toilets are clean and enough for everybody in the same floor.

We came when it was heat wave in summer, the room doesn't have AC or fan. Its an old building, you can hear people walking in the hallway

Amazing Budget Hotel in Swiss Riviera !

Excellent location. Huge room with view of the lake and main Plaza. Walking distance to major attractions in Vevey. Upon arrival, we were given the Montreux Riviera Card for free which allowed us to take all the public transportation of the whole area, including Montreux, the Funicular to Mont Pelerin, etc. and to get 50% discount at the local Museums. I highly recommend it !

We seldom saw someone at the Reception. It was not possible to have breakfast at the Hotel restaurant.

The view

My key card ..did not work at 10 30....after crawling around on unlit oudoor stairs and finall y opening the little bix and NOT finding the promised card ...it was now 11 30 p.m. and was told totry another unlit bix on unlit outside stairs....I said at 77 and neuropathy could NOT... went to another hotel that fortunately at 11 45 p.m. found me a 240 fr room... when came back...next day...still card did not work and no one at desk at noon...found someone to open my room...took all...and left...the 385 Francs I paid for 6 nights MasterCard will reimburse as was a fraud...

Exceptional

Vevey house was such a great stay! The staff was so accommodating and kind and it can be quite expensive to stay in this region of Switzerland and Vevey house was so reasonable. The rooms were extremely clean and very spacious. The bathrooms are shared and there is only one shower per bathroom on each floor but they were very clean and we didn't have any issues. It's only around 10 minutes by train to Montreux and the train is free with your hotel stay! I highly recommend staying here!

I wish that there was more than one shower per bathroom per floor.
