This 2 bedroom cottage is located just off the Ring of Kerry approx 10 min drive from the picturesque bustling town of Kenmare, famous for its award winning restaurants and pubs. The house is south facing and enjoys stunning views to the Caha Mountains and the Beara Peninsula. Nearby Coss Strand, Pat Spillane's Bar, the Ring O'Kerry Golf and Country Club, Templenoe Pier (for sea swimming and sailing) and the forest walks of Dromore Wood are all within 5 min driving distance. Local activity centres offer a wide range of water sports, including sailing and kayaking. Other local amenities include forest walks, hill walking, horse riding and pony trekking, trout / salmon and deep sea fishing.

The property is an excellent base for exploring the Iveragh, Beara and Dingle Peninsulas and for day drives to Killarney National Park.

The owner is a wheelchair user, so the property has been adapted to be ideal for persons of reduced mobility. Pets welcome by arrangement with owner, but must be kept out of bedroom area. Sleeps 4/5.

We were given great directions to the cottage and picking up the key was very easy. The cottage was clean, comfortable, well equipped and in a beautiful setting. Margaret was readily available to answer any questions we had. The location was close enough to Kenmare to make it a short drive for groceries, restaurants and pubs, entertainment and shopping. Even more, the location was great for exploring the Ring of Kerry, Killarney and the beautiful interior of the Iveragh Peninsula. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others who want to explore this area of Ireland.

We absolutely loved our stay here. It's used (I presume) as a holiday home by the owner, so there's everything you could possibly need in the kitchen (even some basic consumables left by previous guests/ the owner) and everything feels so comfortable and homely. The view is really lovely (even though the garden across the road has obscured a bit of the view) and it's so quiet and private, yet so brilliantly situated close to the Ring of Kerry and not far from Kenmare. Highly recommend!

Lovely property with an excellent view. Well-appointed and quite clean. The separate washer/dryer were a big plus. We wanted a remote, quiet location close to Kenmare, and this one fit beautifully. The beds were quite firm (a bit too firm for us), but otherwise, it was wonderful. Highly recommend this place. Please note that all the windows lock with a key, and this was a bit disconcerting for us (Americans fear of fire), but most homes in Ireland are made of concrete, so we did not worry as much. Would definitely choose this place again.

A friend of mine and myself stayed at the house for a couple of days. During this time we also worked for some hours per day with our laptops. Everything worked out well. It is a nice house to stay. The contact person who provided us the keys has been flexible for our late check-in. Everything worked out! Thanks again that we could stay there.

We couldn’t have been happier with our experience staying at Templenoe Heights! Our host and her agent were incredibly helpful and gracious. We travel often and were really looking for a relaxing experience. This was perfect. Close enough to town to take advantage of all the area offers yet just far enough out of town to enjoy the quiet. The home was very comfortable and had everything you’d need without having to run to the store for everything little thing. Very private but with great views!

The house was comfortable, quiet and private, about 10 minutes from Kenmare. Our family enjoyed our 7 days very much visiting the 3 peninsulas from this home base, and Margret was a superb host that helped us out in several ways we very much appreciated. Highly recommended!

Perfect location a few km outside of Kenmare on road to sneem overlooking mountains and bay. Loads to do in the area and surrounds. Massive garden space and outdoor seating area. Brilliantly equipped with loads of everything for your daily needs. Great space with 2 bedrooms one ensuite. Property was spotless clean and in lovely quiet road off the main road. Would have no problem in recommending and will Defo be back.

We are just back from a week staying at Templenoe Heights. House was very clean and had everything you could ever need even buckets and spades for the kids which came in handy! Beds were very comfortable.Location was great and just a few miles from kenmare. Gardens were lovely and great for the kids to play in. Beautiful views and lots of country roads around for walking. 2km from a pebbly beach.

Everything you need is in this tastefully decorated house and the views are lovely through all rooms at the front. We felt very much at home here during our holiday. Monica has been quick to respond by email and has Margaret only a short car ride away to look after the day-to-day business. The house is in a great location to enjoy the ring of Kerry and Beara, lovely Kenmare town and the busy Kilearney park. We happily recommend this property!

Nous cherchions une villégiature dans ce coin d’Irlande, et avons découvert ce gîte où nous avons passé une semaine très agréable, au calme complet, dans en environnement verdoyant. A proximité de Kenmare et toutes ses commodités (accès facile à 10 min en voiture), la maison est bien située pour découvrir le Kerry ; splendides randos à faire dans les environs, et pas mal de découvertes aux alentours dès qu’on sort des sentiers battus. Le contact avec la propriétaire a été excellent, la location aisée et en toute confiance. Le bungalow est confortable et vraiment bien équipé, très propre et spacieux (idéal pour une famille de 4), avec une très belle vue sur la baie et les montagnes de Beara. Une attention particulière de la propriétaire à mettre à disposition les produits de première nécessité qu’on n’a pas toujours envie d’acheter lors de courts séjours (aliments de base, condiments, lessive, etc). Bien vite revenir à Templenoe Heights lors d'un prochain séjour dans le Kerry !

Beautiful newly remodeled home with modern appliances, Wi-Fi, and washer/dryer. Owner and property manager were both very efficient and reliable about keeping in touch with us and getting us the information we needed to get checked in and out. Everything was perfect: it is a quite place but close enough to the main road; so its ideal for relaxing at home and for going on trips. The house is lovely, very bright with everything you might need and even more. The place was spotless. The garden is beautiful. The sister of the owner welcomed us. She lives close by, just in case that help would be necessary. We really enjoyed our time there.

We had a wonderful time in Kenmare especially as the house and garden were great, with fantastic sea views over Kenmare Bay, and the mountains of the Beara Peninsula. We love to go out walking and there were lots of great places to explore, at the end of which were the pubs and restaurants of the surrounding countryside and Kenmare village. While the weather was grand, when it rained the house was the place to to be! It was well equipped and had everything a home bird would want especially the open fireplace which demanded a bottle and a book. Will be back!

I have stayed with friends in Templenoe Heights in both summer and winter over the past few years. In the summer I enjoy the patio and extensive garden with great views over Kenmare Bay, while in the winter the house is cosy and warm and the view across the bay from the living room changes all the time. The property is on an elevated site about half a mile from the main road, on the Ring of Kerry. The garden is well kept and surrounded by trees. There is parking for at least four cars. The kitchen has everything you could want, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and well furnished. The house is always impeccably clean. On a showery day you can curl up before the turf fire and watch the weather outside. There are lovely walks nearby, particularly the stretch of the Kerry Way that runs through Dromore Wood (five minutes drive from the house). We have had great holidays here, exploring the south west. The people of Kenmare, particularly the keyholders who look after the property, are always friendly and welcoming. I hope other people enjoy staying here as much as we do.
