Beautiful Modern Cottage Kenmare

Very enjoyable stay

Great location if you want to explore Beara, Dingle and the Ring of Kerry. At a walking distance from Kenmare centre, in a very quiet residential area. The house and kitchen are very well equipped. We had a wonderful stay.

Great place to discover the gems of the rings of Kerry and Beara. The house was clean, comfortable and homely. We loved it!

Booked as located close to a wedding venue, then stayed for the remainder of the week for a holiday. Fantastic location on both accounts. Cottage was spacious and well equipped with everything we could need for a weeks stay with 2 teenager daughters. Would definitely recommend to others. excellent service from the owner and local landlady.

We loved our week here. Very comfortable clean house, weather was good so we were able to eat our breakfast outside a few mornings. We toured around the Beara Pennisula & Ring of Kerry. Loved Derrynane beach and O Carroll’s Cove. Great restaurants & pubs in Kenmare. I would recommend this house to anybody planning a trip to Kenmare.

We stayed in Kenmare for a week. We were really lucky with the weather - it's a beautiful part of Ireland, especially when the sun shines! The house is located in a quiet development about 20 min walk from Kenmare town. The house is well equipped with everything you would need, the beds are very comfortable! The house was clean but could do with some minor repairs.

We really enjoyed our break here. The house was perfect for a relaxing break with children. It was clean and comfortable with plenty of space. The location was quiet and peaceful but still close enough to Kenmare town. The surrounding area is really beautiful and picturesque. We look forward to another visit in the future.

We have often taken our holidays in Kenmare. This was our first time staying at this property and we have a lovely stay. The host and property manager were wonderful and accommodating to our needs. The house and neighbourhood was quiet. I would say that the property could use some updating (paint on back outside wall was peeling, and the mattress in the master was not the most comfortable for us (I also have back issues), but overall our stay was great, and besides the mattresses the property met our every need. Would definitely recommend. =)

We chose this property because it was convenient to center of Kenmare, clean and spacious for our family. It was one of 3 homes that we leased during a 6 week period for a family gathering. If you are looking for a holiday home for a short or long stay, this will fit the bill. If you are looking for "the Irish experience" of a traditional cottage or interesting B&B, this is not your type of property. Good for a family holiday.

We have 6 people, and all had a comfy place to sleep! Loved the little back yard and patio. The town was close, and had lots of choices for delicious Irish food, drink, and music!!

Everything about the townhouse was explained to us by a lovely property manager. My son and I were surprised to find out we had to pay for towels, gas, and electricity. We have never encountered that before. The townhouse was quite nice. It was light-filled and the furniture, etc. were good-looking. I also liked the fireplace.The main issues we had with the property were two: one, the bed in the master bedroom was so soft that neither of us could use it, which might not be an issue for all (so take this into consideration). Thankfully, there were still two other bedrooms with twin beds that were okay. Second, the shower in the master bedroom was either ice cold or scalding. I assume this will be corrected, because the property representative was very apologetic and was going to get this problem fixed. I would recommend this property without hesitation except for the two issues I have pointed out.

For those who use a GPS for travel, the address given takes you to a different town and a different holiday village. This condo is 1 mile from the last turn onto Sneem Road. Look for the Willowfield Garden Center on the right and turn in left at the 'Rent an Irish Cottage' sign on the right. Thanks to a previous review, we knew about the cut-off walking trail into town. Every day after exploring Killarney National Park and the Ring of Kerry, we would walk into town to a pub. The walk is close to 3/4 mile and there are many pubs to choose from when you get into town. The traffic in town is pretty bad because most of the pubs also rent rooms so it was definitely easier to walk. The food is a bit pricey, but almost always includes entertainment in the evenings. We were the first renters of the season, so there were some problems. The hot water did not work. Luckily there is an on-demand heater for the shower upstairs. The washer/dryer combo is very small and the dryer did not work. That may be an ongoing issue as we found two folding drying racks and lots of clothes pins for the line outside. Otherwise, the condo is convenient, well-furnished, quiet and clean. Geraldine is a very nice manager and helpful with any questions about the area. As an added bonus, we even had a guest hedge-hog in the yard during the first two days of our stay. :)

The house was a great location for us in Kenmare and we really enjoyed all the facilities in Kenmare. Its about a 15 minute walk ( my husband's pace) into Kenmare or a longer walk around the back lanes. The longer walk along quiet roads gives lovely views out across the bay. Kenmare is a really good centre to explore the area and very good shops and restaurants, having sampled a few and plenty of soda bread, we welcomed the walk back to the house. The house itself was great and suitable for coping with all weathers

Had a terrific time in this cottage exploring around the area. Everything was provided for except for the Internet which was a shame. A portable dongle was offered but was too slow to even download our emails.

Lovely cottage great for the wedding we were in town for. Towels and wifi are not included, be aware of extra charges.

Very comfortable cottage , every thing for your needs and so central for Kenmare.all a delight for a super holiday .

Our family spend a very happy week in this lovely cottage. It is bright and spacious and very clean. Its location is great, just outside of the main town. A few mornings, we walked into Kenmare through the beautiful back lanes. We ate in Kenmare a few evenings. The Mews restaurant, The Horseshoe and the Coachmans Bar & Restaurant all served delicious food and the live Irish music at the Coachmans was fantastic. We intend to return to Kenmare in the Spring and would not hesitate to book this cottage again.

We've had a lovely time in this very nice, clean and warm house! From here we explored the Kerry county. Kenmare itself is a friendly and cosy village as well. Everything for a careless stay!

Ruime woning, van alle gemakken voorzien. Schoon en goede bedden. Wel wat gehorig, boven in bed kon je de gesprekken in de woonkamer woordelijk verstaan en andersom dus ook, je kon gewoon meepraten. Maar geen geluidsoverlast van buiten. Op loopafstand van Kenmare, je moet alleen wel meerdere keren een drukkere straat oversteken als je op de stoep wilt lopen.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in Kenmare sehr genossen! Ein tolles Ferienhaus, gut ausgestattet und mit vielen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten! Wir waren sehr zufrieden und haben einen tollen Urlaub verbracht! Etwas verwirrend war, dass es in unmittelbarer Nähe noch ein paar sehr ähnliche Ferienhäuser gibt. Der Kontakt vor Ort konnte uns aber sofort helfen und zum richtigen Ort leiten - alles kein Problem!

Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet. Wir waren nur zu zweit da, aber auch zu sechst würde es sich dort sehr gut wohnen lassen. Das Zentrum ist auch zu Fuß noch gut zu erreichen. Wir haben unsere Zeit dort sehr genossen.

Schön viel Platz im Ferienhaus, gut ausgestattet. Wasser und Heizung geht alles über Strom, etwas ungewohnt, ist aber nicht so teuer. Ruhige Lage :)
