About this cottage rental

Sunset Cottage is situated on an elevated site overlooking the main Ring of Kerry road on the wild Atlantic way.
The cottage is tastefully decorated, located in a peaceful and tranquil setting boasting stunning views of the surrounding mountains to the front and rear.

It is a perfect base to tour the Ring of Kerry ,Dingle Pennisula,visit Skelig Island,Killarney National Park,Gap of Dunloe or many of the multitudes of sights in south west Ireland.

Alternatively, you may like to spend the day relaxing.
Sunset has 3 bedrooms, 1master bedroom ensuite ,1 double ,1twin ensuite.There is a separate bathroom, kitchen /dining area ,utility room and living room plasma tv with cable and dvd player.There is wifi available throughout the house.

Nearest beaches: 2 kilometres from Dooks and 5 kilometres from Rossbeigh.

Fishing: Caragh Lake and Caragh River are renowned for salmon and trout fishing, boat rental is also available on the lake.

My husband and I stayed just about a week at this lovely home just outside of Killorglin on the Ring of Kerry. It was conveniently located so that we could see all of the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula. It was very close to restaurants and grocery stores. The home was immaculately clean, well stocked, including a washer and dryer, and made our stay very enjoyable. Our host Marcella, and her parents, were lovely and very helpful. We very highly recommend this home to anyone who wants to stay in this beautiful area of Ireland.

We, four seniors ages 68 -86, stayed at the cottage for 3 nights in Early October. The property was very well appointed, in a beautiful and perfect location, right on The Ring of Kerry. Marcella, the owner was wonderful to work with, answering my questions quickly. Unfortunately we were not able to meet her as she and her family were on vacation. We did meet her parents and they were delightful and so very kind. (Thank you Bridget!) The house was perfect for the 4 of us, with room for more. The kitchen was well appointed with anything you would need to prepare meals. Washer and dryer were wonderful! TV room was cozy and comfortable. Beds were comfortable and showers with good pressure and plenty of hot water. Would love to be able to return one day!

This is a huge cottage right on the Ring of Kerry, but it is also outside the tourist crush. There are some nice local offerings nearby, including an astonishingly well-appointed small store which was a savior for us. We weren't there for the Ring, and this location gave us a quiet spot from which to access Beara and Dingle, but if you ARE there for the Ring, you can start your morning ahead of the tourists coming from Killarney.

Our stay at the cottage was really amazing! We were welcomed very warmly and there was even a little snack inside the fridge for our first teatime! The rooms are comfortable, bright and well-equipped. Especially the living-room is perfect for rainy afternoons with a good book and an amazing view. Watching the cows through the kitchen-window was an additional happy-moment for us. Moreover, the hosts had some really good tips regarding possible trips for us - in sum we really enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back in the future!

We loved this holiday home. It was perfect. Excellent location less than ten minutes south of Killorgin on the ring of Kerry. Beautiful views from every window. There's so much to see and do in Kerry. The house was comfortable with two ensuite bedrooms as well as a main bathroom. Wifi and netflix. A lockable shed to store your water sports gear is an added bonus.

This was our second stay in one of these lovely cottages . The cottage is a real home away from home with everything you need including lovely linens, beautiful bedrooms, gorgeous views and peaceful gardens for a relaxing stay. The location is perfect for drives around the Ring of Kerry, Valentia Island and the Dingle Peninsular. Rossbeigh Beach is not to be missed. Bridget gave us a great welcome, making us feel right at home and we hope to return again some day . Thank you for letting us stay.

Well located in Ring of Kerry very near Born being which has a adequate grocery. Also located near Killorglin which has at least 3 grocery stores, multiple restaurants, a wonderful bakery . Short drive to Killarney with multiple restaurants. Would certainly return

The house is immaculate and the scenery from each window is of the mountains that surround the Ring of Kerry. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped with anything you might need.(There is also a washer and dryer). The location is convenient to visit both the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Penninsula. Both are filled with history and spectacular views. Visit Jack's Coastguard Restaurant in closeby Cromane for the freshest and best prepared seafood you will find anywhere and a view of the water. Finally, Marcella is a wonderful owner who is knowledgeable about everything there is to see and do in the area. Come to Sunset Cottage, relax and get to know the southwest coast of Ireland.

The bungalow was excellent, spotlessly clean, and everything we needed was in there. Marcella met us on arrival and explained things to us, and contacted us during our stay to see if everything was ok. The bungalow was in a very quiet road, very scenic, but only about ten minutes from Killorglin where you can get good food, and 30 mins from Killarney . We would definitely stay there again, and hope to do so. High recommended.

Marcella was a wonderful host and the property was exactly as advertised. The cottage was like new, well kept, and a great place to relax, sleep, with all the amenities of home. It is in a great location within 20 minutes of Killarney, 5 minutes to Glenbeigh, 10 to Killorgrin. I would recommend this property to anyone and will stay here again on my next trip to this area. Ring of Kerry is a must, great golf courses nearby, Dingle peninsula fun to explore. Make sure you eat at Towers Hotel in Glenbeigh and River Restaurant(super Chinese) in Limerick if you arrive from that direction.
