We got value for our money. Beautiful place to spend a night.

Absolutely great value

Lovely hosts who made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was great with plenty to eat . The room was clean and comfortable with a huge bathroom. Property location is ideal for a bit of peace and quiet away from town but still walking distance to the beautiful beach. The only B& B accommodation to provide so much in the room like coffee yoghurt Muesli etc. we didn't use but appreciated the thought by the hosts. We would highly recommend. Thanks Theresa and Mark.

The room exceeded our expectations as it had everything we needed and more. The amenities were excellent. Breakfast was wonderful and the owners were professional, informative and very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The only small problem I had - being tall, the bed was a bit short for me but would be fine for any "normal" person.

This place was a dream to stay in. The attention to detail in the rooms was surprising. To start with, dental floss, a towel for make-up removal, an emergency sewing kit, a little pair of scissors to open your coffee sachets, and the welcoming fruit bowel. Little snacks, water, yogurt!!!The room was very large and comfortable. The bathroom was large enough to be another room on its own. Onsite safe parking at your doorstep. The breakfast was excellent, catering for individual needs. The owners were friendly and helpful. A short work to the beach. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay..

Amazing stay!

The hosts are the friendliest owners we’ve met on our whole trip. She brought us breakfast at 6 a.m. because we wanted to go out early for some birding, so sweet! The rooms are fantastic, and we got so many snacks, plus great tips for restaurants and activities around Hermanus. I fully recommend staying here. We loved it so much. Thank you!

Delightful little guest house on the edge of Hermanus. Very easy to get in and out of the town. Glorious beaches nearby. Lovely views, in fact we saw whales when having breakfast! Lovely couple hosting. Very nice.

Our host, Theresa, was extremely helpful. She brought us delightful breakfasts and plenty of extra tea bags. Our room was serviced daily and contained lots of little extras such as sweets, biscuits, and toiletries. There are also two fold up stands for your suitcases.There is a kitchenette with a microwave. The rooms are serviced daily.

The bathroom was rather cold, but it was winter.

Came back — and still perfect

We loved it so much the first time that we came back for another night — and everything was just as amazing as before. This time, the weather was warmer and sunnier, which made the experience even better. The location is perfect: you can go hiking straight into the mountains from the house, or take a walk along the stunning Cliff Path. There’s also a beautiful sandy beach just 10 minutes away — absolutely worth a visit. Still the same warm hospitality, the same cozy comfort, and the same adorable dogs. Thank you once again!

Cozy weekend

We stayed for just one night, and the hosts were the kindest, most wonderful people. So warm and friendly — they showed us everything, explained it all, and gave us great tips. They offered to help us book a whale-watching cruise and recommended amazing places to eat and things to do. They also helped us plan our route. The room had absolutely everything we could possibly need: toiletries, towels, snacks, tea and coffee. Breakfast was brought to the room — it was absolutely delicious and so huge that we simply couldn’t finish it. The bed was super comfortable, with an electric blanket. There was also heating in the room. The bathroom had both a separate shower and a large bathtub — a real treat after a long day. Special love goes to their adorable dogs — just the sweetest!

Second time around at Casa Del Mar. Perfect location, walking distance to Grotto Beach and Dutchies. Clean, comfortable, breakfast on the wooden deck with beautiful view of the ocean. Theresa is the most wonderful host. Highly recomended.

A very pleasant and peaceful stay.

Lovely location, close to Grotto Beach. Away from busy centre town but with a few local neighbourhood restaurants. Private, comfortable, neat, clean and very well maintained daily. Although not a B&B, the owners were kind to provide a generous breakfast of a croissants, muffins, cheese, jam, muesli, yoghurt, biscuits, rusks, milk and delicious filter coffee. A lovely cooked breakfast was an extra spoiling on our last morning.

Great hosts and a very comfy room with all the necessities. Not huge room but more than comfortable with comfy bed, tv, microwave, bar fridge and eating utensils e.g. glasses, cups etc. and a small table and chairs to eat at. Easy drive into Hermanus to restaurants for dinner. Room rate included a lovely continental breakfast. Great value for money. Would definitely recommend. Only stayed 1 night and unfortunately weather did not allow us to utilize the lovely deck area which has a view of the sea.
