Exceptional stay right in the center of StMalo

Great stay in this wonderful appartement right in the center of StMalo intra muros. The Host was very responsive to get us in before our set rendez-vous. The place was very well equipped with everything. The rooms were very spacious and my teen enjoyed having his own room. The location is incredible, dead in the center of StMalo, surrounded by the bakeries, restaurants, shops. We enjoyed every minute of our stay here.

Please note that there are no elevators in the building and you will have to carry your luggage up 2 floors.

Lovely apartment in centre of town.

Well equiped, light, comfortable and in great location right in middle of the old town. Muriel and her friend looked after us well and we were welcomed warmly. Lovely hosts.

Superb

The location is perfect. Within three or four minutes you can get to any part of the intramuros. We really got a feel for the old town. I forgot my charger, and Catherine was kind enough to mail it to me.

Tourists! Even at the end of September, the place was jam-packed on the weekend. Fortunately, Monday, although the weather was not great, we could see the workings of the people who live there. Kids going to school for example. Unfortunately, the insulation between the apartment and the one above it is not great. You can definitely here footsteps at any time of the day or night. And I actually heard someone pour a glass of water up there.

Couldn't find the apartment. Had to pay for parking not near to apartment. Not near to beaches. No basics in fridge, milk, etc. Asked for 500 Euro deposit, far too much. No maps in the apartment.

Lovely centrally located apartment.

The apartment was so central and had everything you could possibly need including a washing machine. We loved our time here.

It was a shock being asked for 500 euro in CASH on arrival as a security deposit. We knew there was a deposit , but on the booking.com website it does not say cash. We had assumed any deposit would be on a card. Luckily there was an ATM below for us to get the money. Felt funny giving all that cash to a host whom we didn’t know and having to request a receipt for the money.

Great location

- A little taken back by the €500 cash bond required when we checked in and dealt with the neighbour of the owner as our point of contact (a trip to the bank was required to withdraw the cash) with no receipt provided. Considering our booking was paid in full via Visa and the cost of the stay was less than the bond this seemed over the top. - Upon check out we met the lady again to receive our bond back but were held to randsom upon a thorough check of the apartment with a checklist going from room to room to ensure all was in order. - No car park provided despite the description within the booking - Beware of double dipping for City tax as cash again was requested for this but it was already paid when we made our booking - We didn't appreciate being treated like that and has left a really bad taste in our mouth about the whole stay there unfortunately

Pas cher pour être en centre ville mais trop bruyant et sale dans les parties communes

Nous avons apprécié l’intérieur de l’appartement qui était bien agencé et équipé ainsi que et la proximité de la plage et rampart.

Les parties communes étaient trop sales. Et des insectes étaient apportés avec les poubelles du restaurant du rez de chaussé. Même si l’appart est en étage, c’est désagréable de passer et voir les poubelles. Aussi, la place est très bruyante (le glacier le plus couru de st Malo est en bas) et cela tardivement.
