I fell asleep and must have turned the TV on when I turned over. I awoke to the owner trying to get into my room. Luckily, I had put the lock on, so he could not gain access. This act made me very uncomfortable. As there were no other guests who it could have disturbed, I think it was an overreaction. I packed my bags and left the next morning

The team at Brookside went above and beyond to make sure we were as comfortable as possible. The breakfasts were truly incredible, we left every day feeling refreshed and ready to take on the (rainy) days!

Hospitality was excellent..Greeted on arrival with tea and cake and lots of info. Nice room overlooking the garden. Very clean and tidy. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. Nice garden with hot tub olif you wanted it. All in all couldn't have been better.

Good value B&B in Brixham.

Very ordered and well equipped guest house.It has a jacuzzi and steam room.The breakfast menu was comprehensive and varied and very well cooked . Linda and Jo the hosts were friendly and v.helpful about travel bus timetables for other places nearby in Devon and good local eateries recommended by locals.In short a quality service competitively priced which triumphs on attention to detail.

The plug in the room basin didn't hold water long enough for me to complete my wet shave with one amount of water in the basin.But no real problem I just shaved more quickly the second time !

Fabulous weekend stay with great breakfasts.

Hosts Jo & Linda were superb from the moment of arrival. They provided useful details for our visit and were fun and engaging. Breakfasts available were varied and cooked to perfection. Drinks are available as are hot tub and relaxing area. I'm pretty certain it won't be too long before we're back!

A lovely gem of a place

Beautiful well appointed room, lovely hosts and delicious breakfast. Close to the town with lots of transport links to the surrounding area. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Best B&B I’ve ever stayed at

Excellent stay. Fantastic hosts could not meet a nicer couple, friendly and super helpful. Room had a comfy bed and every amenity you could wish for. Outside garden area was perfect for a lazy afternoon or an evening glass of wine. Brilliant!

Outstanding!!!

Joe and Linda were amazing hosts, very welcoming and attentive. They were both very knowledgeable about the area and offering reccomendations of places to visit and restaurants to eat in. Nothing was too much! The facilities were excellent, hot tub, sauna and parking, which is a bonus in the area. The breakfast was outstanding, with lots of choice and extremely tasty, a very high standard. The guest house was clean and spacious, Joe and Linda really have thought of everything. The room was clean and decorated to a high standard. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here and will definitely be recommending to family and friends. Thank you for a lovely stay.

An excellent 5 star guest house with lovely proprietors, cant wait to return

I’m not sure you would be able to find a more comfortable or accommodating guest house in Brixham. The owners, Joe and Linda, were excellent first class generous hosts of this 5 star property which was spotlessly clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was delicious with an excellent choice of ingredients. A short walk, or hopping on the No12 bus, took us to the harbour where we had evening meals at a number of establishments recommended on the very useful list sent by Joe and Linda prior to our visit. A lovely bonus was to be able to use the hot tub in the lovely garden. Unfortunately we were only booked for a 3 day stay but can’t wait to return.

A really enjoyable stay.

Linda & Joe are wonderful hosts. They are friendly, accommodating and provide a fantastic tasty breakfast with more variety than I've seen in other B&B's. I had a single room which is a nice size, decorated very nicely and with a very comfortable single bed. The room is an equivalent to a hotel room, fitted out with everything needed for a comfortable stay, including slippers a dressing gown and toiletries. It's the best single room I've ever stayed in! I also had access to the infrared sauna which is known for it's health benefits, and provided a feel of luxury. The bathroom is on the other side of the landing, but for sole use. Again, it's nicely decorated, and towels provided seemed to be new. I definitely recommend this B&B and will definitely stay there again. Thank you Linda & Joe for making my first stay in Brixham such a wonderful short break

The only slight down side to this room is that the window faces a wall but this can't be changed, and didn't detract too much from enjoying this room. I had a little trouble with the shower, but I mentioned this to Linda, so I'm sure it'll be looked into.

Wonderful hosts who really go the extra mile to ensure guests have everything they need. Little touches like fresh milk, wine glasses and a bottle opener in the room really show the thought they put into their business.. The bed was super comfy and windows fitted with blackout blinds and quality curtains ensured a good night’s sleep too. Breakfast choice was fabulous, freshly prepared and served with a smile. We will definitely return and highly recommend. Thank you!

The Accommodation was really lovely , decore and comfort too. It was great to have parking facilities, ( not all B& Bs in the area do ) The owners Linda & Joe made us very welcome . The breakfast everyday was delicious and had lots of options for everyone's taste . We were 10 - 15 minute steady walk to the Harbour & Town .

Lovely comfy room with added seating area, fabulous breakfast cooked to order. Joe and Linda were great hosts full of local knowledge and nothing was too much trouble for them. Excellent location just a short walk into town and a bus service that stops just outside the guesthouse. We would definitely stay again!

Lynda and Joe were friendly and charming hosts . Joe, being a local Lad, was very knowledgeable and informative. Linda was a delight and makes the best breakfast ever ( im sure Joe helps out ). The room was immaculate with great facilities. The house was around 700 metres walk from Brixham Town centre, and the bus stop was literally a 30 second walk away costing £ 2.00 per trip ..Will definitely come back to Brookside when we're in the area. Lovely Owners. Lovely breakfasts!

Linda and Joe. What lovely people. Absolutely super. Kind, decent and genuine. Good fun. The breakfasts were fab. Delicious. All was spotlessly clean.

I didn't much enjoy the location as am not a fan of busy roads. I don't mind the distance from town but didn't much enjoy the walk along a busy road. It was v hot so difficult as with the window open the traffic noise was problematic for me. However, there are bus services from town and bus stops along this road.
