The breakfast was nice and generous portions. The host was very kind and helpful, and gave us some extra snacks the night we got in because we were too late to get dinner at one of the restaurants. Callander is a good location to see the highlands from as a jumping off point, with lots of lovely hikes and walks within driving distance. Nice view of the mountains from the room.
The room got quite warm which made sleeping uncomfortable, even with the windows open. The inn is pretty old and the room was up two flights of stairs, which wasn’t totally clear and made bringing our suitcase up a bit hard, so keep that in mind.

The friendliest staff/hosts that made you feel right at home. It’s nothing fancy, but gosh it has charm and is such a lovely place to stay.
The bed was very loud upon turning and the (electric) shower also was a bit difficult to work with. But I think those things were only in the solo-room I stayed in and not the other rooms
