It was located in a quiet and peaceful location, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious we enjoyed eating outside in the garden area. There is a nice restaurant next door.

Absolutely beautiful location, kind staff and gorgeous building

Bed was comfortable. Fabulous old building with period features.

When checking in, the older lady asked me several times if I had paid and each time I replied that I had via booking.com and have a receipt. The older lady then called a younger woman who took over the check-in process and she also asked me had I paid, I repeated that I had. Finally she confirmed my payment that was made at time of booking online. When sitting in our car and just about to leave, the older woman came out onto the road, approached us and proceeded to question us about payment again and saying we had not. We became irritated by this and repeated we had paid. Maybe this older lady does not understand or should not be managing the business and just stick to organising breakfast. We are not thieves or after freebies - humiliating really. I have also just checked my confirmation from booking.com and I did book the Superior Room but was given a room with two double beds and a fireplace. Did not get the room I paid for.
