A comfortable stay in a friendly environment

The room was spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and with beautiful colours. The owners were friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and she can also taste homemade local products.

Although on the mountain, it can still be a bit warm at night so a fan might come in handy. Because our window was facing a path next to a church, we felt a bit uncomfortably keeping it open while sleeping or lying in bed with people walking there.

Serendipitous place to relax and access most that Zagori offers

The buildings are gorgeous, the staff very friendly and very professional, our room was cleaned daily, the breakfast was very good and finally the whole place was very quiet

People with disabilities are going to have trouble accesssing although this is valid for the whole of the village, since they have kept the original very old cobblestone roads

I’d give it a 10 & we will stay here again!!

Very authentic Accomodation reflecting its era of 1600, but interior is remodeled, so one feels like having gone back in times where peace & harmony existed. The breakfast was beyond expectations.. Eleni the lady in charge of the kitchen is a fantastic cook & made varieties of pies cakes etc.. the jams were homemade by the owner.. we asked for omelets though there was boiled eggs already & Eleni prepped what we wanted. Greek coffee, filter coffee & even squeezed for us fresh orange juice. We loved it so much that we will be back in the fall & stay here too..

Family owned, very charismatic place to stay.

Super friendly, very helpful owner. They gave us lots of tips around hiking opportunities around the place. Breakfast was very delicious and prepared with lots of love.

the place itself is fine ... but dilofo, at least for me, was a big disappointment

the place itself is fine, with a more than adequate breakfast -- under the owner's watchful eye -- & the owner was very helpful on our 1st of 2 nights, going out of his way to recommend sites & restaurants. and, yes, best to arrive w/a sturdy shoe & not much luggage ... 'cause the walk from parking lot to accommodation -- often on uneven cobblestone -- is not "straightforward"

the often-recommended "quaint" & "unspoiled" dilofo was a big disappointment ... since it's really not a true village, with any sense of "real" villagers going about their daily lives. rather, it's like 6 or 7 lodging establishments & 1 "okay-enough" restaurant for visitors (ie, there's no little general store, bakery or year-round local population un-related to the tourism industry). several other no less "quaint" villages exist in this area -- each with its own degree of local activity -- so pick whatever suits u. for me, dilofo felt somewhat "artificial"

Amazing breakfast with the most delicious home made orange cake. Very quiet location and felt at home immediately. Hosts were super helpful providing tips for walking. Loved every minute of our stay.

wonderful

Dilofo is a tiny hill village perched amongst the Zagori region's mountains.It is quiet, tranquil and as if from another time. The old house is like the pictures it has posted- beautifully renovated to have all comforts while retaining the aesthetic of the region. It's courtyard is a little haven within the confines of the village. Breakfast was generous and delicious and different each day. The hosts are very kind.

We liked everything! however others may be disappointed that there are no shops, and any services have to be found by driving to bigger villages nearby. The archontiko took care of an ample breakfast. The one restaurant has a view is over the magnificent valleys, and serves delicious generous food but it opens midday'ish- closes around 20:00 )rather early for Greece) and if one wants a late sitting it is best to make a reservation. The central cafe/taverna we have been told will re-open in the fall (it closed during the pandemic). We would have stayed longer and we will return!

There should be a second glass panel in the shower to avoid splashing all over the bathroom floor.

Very beautyful room (9) with a balcony, we enjoyed the quiet of the place and most of all giorgo's hospitality. He advised us of places to go, hiking ad well as dining. The mansion is very well maintained and is both rustic and modern at the same time. Wonderful breakfat! A really unforgettable experience!

Nothing, just keep in mind that you have to park at the edge of the village and walk with your luggage on stone paved alleys about 200 meters, but it's absolutely worth it!

A fabulous place to stay in a wonderful part of Greece

This is a fabulous place to stay, full of character and tradition, with truly charming people who own/run it. We were upgraded to a larger room than the one we had booked but both were comfortable and spacious with everything we needed. Breakfasts were fantastic, with homemade Greek orange pie a particular highlight. Nothing seemed too much trouble and the hosts were really knowledgable about the whole area and gave us lots of info and advice. We loved staying here and recommend it highly.

We have stayed at Archontiko Dilofo many times. The hosts are always welcoming and polite, the building is a true gem, the bed was very confortable and the location is very convenient. Also, all the necessary Covid-19 measures had been taken which made us feel very safe. We are looking forward to our next visit!

What a wonderful place to stay! The staff were so kind and helpful, happy to give us any information we needed about the region. The rooms are beautiful, cozy and clean. Breakfast was tasty and varied. The property is in the middle of the beautiful town of Dilofo, couldn't be better in terms of location. I would highly recommend staying here when visiting this region, it's genuinely outstanding, especially for the price. Thank you again to all the lovely staff.

Off-the-beaten path, friendly gem!

Calm, quiet, peaceful location - except for dogs barking at night - bring ear plugs! Only one restaurant open at this time - Lithos - and it was delicious. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was expansive and delicious. Homemade liquor in the room was an unexpected treat. Owner and staff were top notch friendly. Views were beautiful. Hikes immediately accessible from hotel. Can't recommend the location of Dilofo and this hotel specifically highly enough if you're looking for quiet, calm, outdoorsy, gorgeous, delicious bliss.

Get the bigger room if you're someone who prefers more space. The rooms without patio and sofa were much smaller.

Superb

The village is one of the nicest in the Papingo area, the mansion itself is lovely inside. The breakfast was really excellent and the couple in charge nice and friendly with some very helpful local tips, which were needed as the weather was atrocious and we could not walk in Vicos gorge so the suggestions helped fill our day.

With the change in weather it would have been nice if the heat had been turned on as the room was quite cold. Its the type of place were a cozy fire adds to the ambiance but this was not evident unlike the taberna we visited which had a blazing fire burning.
