Nice charming place with excellent hospitality.

Beautiful well maintained and located stay. The breakfast was fantastic, very local and the owners were very charming in their hospitality. The owners run the place who are well traveled they have a lot of local tips and it was a pleasure to talk to them. The roof window was great for star gazing nice and clear.

In the shower was a bit small in our room but really not a big deal for us.

It was very cleaned and nicely renovated preserving the traditional character of the area. The owners were really helpful and welcoming and the breakfast was freshly made by them every morning. Totally recommending it!

Beautiful cabin, very spacious and amazing views. Very nicely decorated. Spotless Clean and great service. Very nice breakfast with freshly picked fruits and vegetables raised in the backyard. Our 3 teens slept comfortably in the upstairs gallery. Small kitchen with a coffee machine.

The walk in shower glass wall was too narrow and the bathroom floor got wet

Lovely boutique style hotel in amazing setting

Very beautiful and thoughtful place. Nicely styled with lovely interiors and home made breakfast. Great location - we sadly stayed only one night travelling through but would definitely come back.

Everything was super nice - if I could mention just one thing - the coffee ;-) you could work on that ;-)

A pleasant surprise in Vitsa for those who want some value of money "luxury"

Tasos and his wife are very friendly and kind. We got the feeling that we are living inside a family house. Rooms are great and recently renovated. You can still smell the fresh wood of the furniture. Breakfast was excellent. A great variety of local and homemade products to try. The garden area where you can eat and relax is so cute and calm with many little tables and chairs. The hotel is in north Vitsa (you can see part of the village when you get out of the main entrance of the hotel) and it is a 15 minutes walk from the city center. Nearby there are 2 parking spots if you travel by car (it is recommended if you want to explore Zagori in general)

I cannot think a negative thing right now. I would stay there again and again.

The place is amazing special. An old house that was recently renovated with lots of love and passion. The host Tasos and his wife are wonderful host and very patient in any need and guidance of the area. The garden is spectacular beautiful where you have your nice breakfast. Thanks a lot for an amazing vacation.

We loved the beautifully decorated rooms that created a relaxing vacation atmosphere. Breakfast in the garden under the trees was a delightful way to start the day. The owner was incredibly helpful, assisting us with organizing hikes and providing great tips and lunch boxes for our day-long adventures. The location was the perfect starting point for hiking, and there were good restaurants within walking distance from the accommodation.

What a wonderful stay! If you’re looking for a quiet beautiful stylish place,,,, this is absolutely the place for you! The house is constructed of rough-hewn stones and timber, beautifully decorated and very clean. Tasos is a is an amazing host, who gave us so much insight into the area, always ready with good suggestions for activities, places to eat …and a chat 😉. We had delicious breakfasts in the wintergarden (was to cold to eat outside) with every day, a new ‘home made breakfast surprise’ ! Hikes can be done from the house. Again , if you plan travelling to Zagori area, we highly recommend KATIKIA ZAGORI !

The service was exceptional, from the warm welcome we received upon arrival, to the genuine hospitality and eagerness to assist, which created a warm and inviting atmosphere. We particularly appreciated the attention to detail in the room's design, blending contemporary style with traditional elements that reflected the local culture. The village, though small, boasted a handful of excellent restaurants showcasing the best of local flavors and ingredients. One of the highlights of our stay was the proximity to the awe-inspiring Vikos Gorge. Just a short drive away, we were able to embark on unforgettable hikes in the pristine natural beauty of the area. The hotel staff was very knowledgeable about the local trails and provided helpful recommendations, ensuring we made the most of our time there. Having a car was necessary for travel, allowing us the freedom to explore the surrounding area at our own pace. We were able to visit nearby attractions, charming villages, and picturesque viewpoints, all within a short distance from the hotel. The scenic drives through the Greek mountains were an adventure in themselves, offering breathtaking vistas. In conclusion, our three-night stay at this boutique hotel was an absolute delight. The exceptional service, combined with the hotel's perfect location within a National Park and its proximity to the majestic Vikos Gorge, created an experience that surpassed all expectations. Quality accommodation near the Vikos Gorge

Modern interior and well-appointed room. Glassed-in cafe area out of the wind but retaining the view. My reason for being here was to hike the "horseshoe" through the Vikos Gorge - the owner is very knowledgeable about the trails and in fact put up wooden signs for some lesser-known local tracks which proved worthwhile. Easy walking distance from several tavernas - with surprisingly good house wines.

Breakfast served from 8.30 - in summer I would like to get going a little earlier, but this seems to be the standard locally.

The place looks nice, especially the garden. The owner is a very nice person and definitely wants his guests to have a good time

Arriving to Katikia after reading excellent reviews here and also in some travellers groups, we were a little disappointed. We got a family hut, which for us as a family with 2 teenagers wasn't convenient. There was not enough place to put our luggage and the place was rather dark after sunset, with no sufficient lights. It seems however that people who get the double rooms (and not the hut) have quite a different experience and enjoy their staying at Katikia.

Beautifully presented

This property is located in a lovely small town. We enjoyed walking the Vitsa steps and to the stone bridges. The property is newly furnished and is beautifully presented. The only small downside was that our room was quite small, but this is compensated for by other spaces on the property where you can sit and relax. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. There are only a few places to eat within walking distance. We tried one of the restaurants along the main road which was very average. Monodendri is a short drive away and has several restaurants.

The apartment is amazing, recently built by Tasos, that is a most intelligent nice and helpful person who has enormous knowledge of Greece and the region. He followed his dream and built this welcoming place traditional and yet stylish and decorated compound to stay, hike, and enjoy Zagoria. The breakfast is nice and again have some homemade delicious jams and more. Tasos with his spirit, knowledge and good stories made this vacation fabulous

If there were some more hooks and room to put the suitcases and theirs content.

The rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfy. The building is recently renovated. Tasos, the host, was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The breakfast was tasty and you could smell the freshly baked cakes during the night. There is a small patio by the garden, that you can enjoy your breakfast. I loved the table at the library room, where you can sit and relax either with your laptop or drink tsipouro. The garden was beautiful and taken care of

A unique experience of accommodation in an elegantly renovated old mansion in Vitsa, one of the most picturesque Zagori village, located at the center of the pedal formed by all the Zagori villages. Sofia and Tasos, the owners of Katikia Zagori, have created a warm, elegant, calm and sustainable guesthouse which feels like home and retreat at the same time, while you enjoy the beauty of the surrounding nature. They serve the most exquisite breakfast, which includes several local organic ingredients traditionally cooked and presented, that you may enjoy in the conservatory overlooking their sunny yard as an intimate experience with the surrounding magic nature. They are always available and happy to provide information and guide you through the secrets of the area, suggesting paths, villages, activities and tavernas worth visiting. We have spent the most pleasant long weekend and will definitely get back for more!

We had a great stay at Katikia Zagori! It is in a great location with excellent, panoramic view. The rooms were very warm, comfortable and clean. There was a "home like'' ambiance that let you feel peaceful and calm. Tasos and Sofia took great care of us and they were willing to inform you about nearby activities. If you visit Vitsa, you shoyld definitely stay at Katikia Zagori.

Fantastic location, we could see the sunrise over the gorge and overseeing the lower part of the village! The building is new (or fully renovated?) everything is carefully build and selected to make the room stand out and the stay comfortable and cozy!
