nice and friendly hotel in a picturesque greek village above the vikos gorge

This is a nice hotel, old style in Monodendri. We used it as a base for a hike down Vikos Gorge. The staff were super friendly and helpful, nice breakfast and they packed a nice lunch for us for the hike. All was very pleasant and fun.

Exceptional stay

We just loved everything about this family owned hotel. Their politeness, their hospitality and behavior in general were exceptional. Delicious homemade breakfast, cleanliness everywhere and owners with a great character. Thank you so much , we had such a great time!!!!!!!!

Lovely, calm, perfect!

One of most lovely places that I have ever been. The perfect clean, order, vibe, breakfast. Everything was great , lovely and with big smile . It was a pleasure for me to stay in Monodendri and this hotel.

The only thing it’s that there’s no shower holder in the bathroom.

Search no more - STAY HERE!

This was the best hotel experience we've had in a long time! Dennis and Natasha were incredibly hospitable. They provided great recommendations for hiking trails (Vitsa steps and Vikos gorge) and were knowledgeable enough that they were able to tailor the recommendations for the rainy weather. The included home-made breakfast was superb - we would have gone there just for the meal. We had to leave before breakfast hours on our final morning, and they worked with us to ensure we had food and coffee before we left. The fireplace in the room was cozy and perfect for the cool weather. They provided a large basket of wood, and mentioned multiple times that they could easily provide more. We could not recommend this hotel more! Final rating: 11/10

Excellent family owned hotel who will make your stay sublime

The hotel is well situated with close access to the Vikos Gorge. The owners are very attentive and look to make your stay exceptional. We had a large very clean room with a fireplace. Breakfast was mostly homemade items with dairy products from the local village. The Zagori is a fabulous hotel in a small village. Very highly recommend.

Excellent stay, would definitely come back!

Breakfast was excellent with a variety of local products and delicacies! The place is run by a family and everyone was very polite and helpful and always ready to satisfy every single need. The room was quite confortable with 2 double beds (for a family of 3) and everything was extremely clean. Location was also excellent; a few minutes of scenic walk through the village alleys to reach the central square and several mini markets and taverns around. We were very happy to chose this hotel and village as a base to explore the surrounding area and the rest of Zagorochoria. Extra tip: definitely worth a walk to the small monastery of Agia Paraskevi with exclusive handmade items and breathtaking view!

The hotel location is very comfortably with a parking space right at front, nice clean room, pleasant staff, good variety breakfast and convenience sitting place. The host asked not to use the air conditioner. This frightened us at first because we arrived from hot Thessaloniki, but we understood very fast that we are not going to use it anyway)) The weather was nice and the room stays cool all the day. We had very good time, thank you :)

Fantastic and definitely a great place to visit with a warm welcome.

Vassilis and his family who run the hotel were so very helpful and friendly. Fantastic breakfast and lots of help before walking the famous Vikos Gorge. Hotel rooms were warm and spacious. Very accommodating of our dogs. Thank you.

Bed was a little hard, especially after a long walk!
