Excellent location, great owners, fully recommended!

Very nice breakfast. Excellent location in the centre of the village. Very clean and super polite owners, who are greatly open to support and advice you at anything you need. It was also greatly decorated and there are also some small but lovely details, which makes you feel like your home. Excellent view from the room.

Our stay was perfectly quaint, and we had many pleasant interactions and great food!

We loved the breakfast!! There was an incredible spread. The staff was very helpful when I lost my wallet, and I was able to retrieve it because of them. We loved hiking in the area as well! I recommend a guided tour.

The perfect base for exploring Vikos gorge.

Stunning location in the pedestrian area of the pretty village of Monodendri, Arktouros hotel is absolutely charming. Our hosts, Theo, Katarina and Sophia could not have been kinder or more helpful, with lots of hints and tips about things to do in the stunning area of Vikos gorge. Delicious breakfasts too - Sophia’s pita is not to be missed. We loved staying here!

Great atmosphere

As a family we got two rooms: the family suite, which was very spacious, and a double room which had a nice balcony with great view. Both were were decorated iwith a personal touch. Breakfast was very nice. The location was great, and the staff very friendly. Highly recommend!

Centrally located and very close to the Vikos Gorge hiking trail. Every meal off the dinner menu was outstanding!

Great base for visiting the beautiful Zagori

Great location in the centre of Monodendri near the plateia, in the car-free part of the village (there is a free parking just 100 meters away). The trailhead for the Vikos Gorge is almost at your door. Another highly recommended hike is a walk to the villages of Vitsa, Koukouli and Kipi. We had a charming traditional room with a balcony, furhished with taste, very comfortable. Excellent buffet breakfast, a power boost to start an activity-packed day.

Part of our stay was during a heat wave and the room got quite hot. A small fan would be great for such days. It cooled down during the night though (Monodendri is at above 1000 meters altitude). Wifi signal did not reach our room.

The perfect choice when you are visiting Zagorochoria!

Cozy place, friendly staff, wonderful location. Ideal to relax and leave all town stress behind, as it combines the warmth of a stone-and-wood structure along with spectacular views and many short and long hiking routes surrounding it. We really enjoyed our time there. Definitely will return there again.

Amazing stay in one of the most beautiful villages in Zagoroxoria

By far our best stay in all of our travels! Monodendri is a picturesque village in the Zagori area. On our arrival, the first feeling we got is that this was taken out of a fairy tale or a movie. Beautiful village with cobblestone streets, buildings made out of traditional stone, and everything surrounded by nature. Then we are greeted by this super friendly and welcoming family that owns Arktouros Hotel. When entering our apartment, this feeling of being in a fairy tale is enhanced by this super spacious apartment, beautifully decorated to go with the village vibes and make you feel comfortable. To top it off the breakfast was really delicious, the hotel had a nice cafe/restaurant offering craft beer, delicious pizzas and pastas and great deserts. And if that wasnt enough, the village is a starting point for the trail to vikos gorge, offers another great trail to an abandoned monastery, and its centrally located to the rest of zagori villages, so you could easily visit Aresti village and go for rafting to voidomatis river, or visit dilofo, kipous and tsepelovo on the other side of the mountains. Also the village offers a lot of nice and traditional taverns and coffee shops, with the pies being the definitely thing to try. We got a lot of nice suggestions from the owners regarding day trips and activities to try. Thank you for making this an unforgettable experience, definitely recommended to everyone thinking of visiting the Zagoroxoria!

The hosts Hypocretes and his family Sofia and Kristos were very nice, warm and helpful - even preparing dishes to our requirements. Felt like a home away from home. The place was ideally located for trekking around all the surrounding villages.

friendly helpful staff & thoughtful service great location beautifully decorated rooms - traditional with a bit of flair - it made the place feel special excellent breakfast- lots of homemade local food great restaurant with authentic Italian food as well as Greek - loved the chili marmalade that came with the breadsticks spotlessly clean

perfect choice for hikers near the vikos canyon, very recommendable!!!

it was a cute cosy room for a couple. the wifi was strong. perfect for resting and starting fresh into a new hiking day. the breakfast was so good and more than enogh for two people. we went hiking on a full stomach
