Great stay, enjoyed Alton towers

Nice apartment in good location for Alton Towers. Plenty of space with kitchen area and bathroom, living room and bedroom area. Breakfast provided was delicious and. Hosts were really nice and helpful/ accommodating.

Sofa wasn’t that comfortable, needed a separate pop up bed for my daughter really- booking.com shouldn’t allow it to be booked for an adult and teenager, bed is only a double but plenty of space for a kingsize could be a better option. And would allow people to sleep comfortably.

This was a gorgeous guest house. We booked it to stay in after Alton Towers and it was perfect. Great value for money, and the facilities were spotless. The breakfast was really spot on, and the hosts couldn't have been more accommodating.

Family stay 07/11/2025

The room was spotless and had a lovely warm feel. It was just so fresh and clean. The hosts were very welcoming, the drinks in the bar were excellent value and we really enjoyed our stay. I loved the fact our children had their own beds in the family room which is often not the case in large hotels. The breakfast was amazing and we would love to come back.

My partner hit their head on the low door frame in the family room, maybe a sign needs to be on the door like there was on the doors downstairs , apart from that it was perfect.

Charming Place!

This is such a charming B&B, perfect base for our short trip to Alton Towers. David and Rebecca were lovely, allowing us to put our luggage in the guest house before we check in. Hope to return for a longer stay next time.

when we walked in, we were taken aback, it was absolutely beautiful and ever so tidy. the design and layout has been done perfectly and there’s even a little table with two chairs, which was so cute! the bed was sooo comfy and i loved the windows too. i literally couldn’t have found a better place to stay. so cozy i wish i could live here

Very friendly and inviting welcome. The room was a good size with a very nice country cottage feel to it, a good sized modern bathroom. The breakfast was excellent, good quality ingredients. The full English breakfast was done well and hot. Well worth the stay.

We had a lovely stay here before our visit to Alton Towers. Our room was super clean, great decor and the beds were so comfortable, we all had a very good sleep. Breakfast was delicious and really set us up for our busy day. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

Perfect for an overnight stay.

We enjoyed an excellent breakfast - there was a good choice for the cooked option. Very pleasant hosts. The location was good for us as we were visiting family in nearby Cheadle. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet.

The bed was a standard double and we are used to a larger one . However, it was only for one night!

We liked the the twin beds for the kids next door while we had our privacy in our own room. The beddings were comfortable and befitting of the price.

The height of the doors/door frames. Even though the host told us to be mindful of the height of the the 17th century building doors/door frames, my husband hit his head about three times by the time we left.

Location perfect for Alton towers. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and good size portions. Beds were comfy. Everything needed was in the room. Family room is a double bed in one room and twin beds in second bedroom with bathroom in between. Prefect for having older children.

Perfect value for an overnight stay

The property is a charming and characterful property in the quiet village of Stramshall. We liked the separate apartment with its own kitchenette and bathroom. The cooked breakfast the following morning was fresh and delicious. The options to have continental breakfast options was an added bonus too.

Lovely setting and accommodation but watch out for low door frame!

They met our request for a vegetarian breakfast and the quality of the food was excellent. The room was lovely, the WiFi great, the parking relatively easy and the location spot on.

It would have been nice to have a buffet at breakfast but they were amenable to requests. Some sprinkly sweetener would have been good for cereal. The low door frame in the room was not good as we banged our heads a couple of times.

Wonderful 2 nights spent at welcoming Olive Tree GuestHouse

The hosts David and Rebecca are friendly and welcoming. David had no hesitation offering to help carry luggage upstairs. Mother and adult daughter travelling together and stayed in Family Room with 2 bedrooms and sharing bathroom. Lovely setup with coffee tea facilities in the room. Modern bathroom / shower facilities. Amazing breakfasts with pre ordering night before. They have a small bar which we enjoyed a drink. Clean tidy and would stay again. Lovely.

Maybe the bedrooms upstairs would be difficult for an elderly person.

Really lovely quaint building, well maintained. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated, with TV, good WiFi and tea making facilities, with some nice little extras such as toiletries and bottles of water. Beds were comfortable and we slept well! The owners were friendly and helpful, and cooked a lovely breakfast. Car park is behind property (though you can also park on the road), and only 20 mins drive from Alton Towers. Really great place and excellent value for money. Would definitely like to stay here again if we return to the theme park sometime.
