Aldgate Flats

The location was very close to Aldgate East station, our host was very nice and welcoming and even gave us a free upgrade. Our flat itself was exceptional, for the money we payed we had any facility we needed with a living room and TV which had sofa beds, a fully equipped kitchen and dining room and 2 bedrooms and a nice bathroom. What could be better if the bedding was a bit more comfortable but we still had a great night's sleep. The location was also very close to restaurants and right next to a market so I really recommend it

Location was great, the district line at Aldgate East was a 5-10 minute walk away and is a great line to access the tourist attractions. The property felt safe with the locked gate which was unlocked via key code and simple to use. The property was spacious enough for two adults and two children. Simplistic but a great price. The host was really pleasant, he met us as the property and showed us around, he was very welcoming. The cleaner was still cleaning when we arrived but she did a great job and the apt was really clean when we arrived. Plenty of clean bedding and towels were provided which again made the stay more comfortable.

The heat was the biggest issue. During the warmer weather we’ve had, the flat was particularly hot overnight and did make sleep a little harder. Fans were provided which did help. Some of the furniture was a little old, which wasn’t a huge problem but some of it was very wobbly & needs tightening up. The bin lid was broken - again not a huge issue but meant needing to touch the bin every time we needed to use it which personally I don’t like to do.

Location and cleanliness were perfectly to our expectations, the separate bedrooms are perfect for multiple couples travelling together

It was very stuffy in there, hard to let the hot air out, we were dripping with sweat just from sitting on the sofa, granted we stayed in London during a heatwave, still, almost too hot to sleep at night

The properties location is fantastic. Close to a couple of tube stations and lots of local amenities.

The property isn’t like the pictures and does need a bit of fixing up, especially the flooring
