Kusatsu Hotel Bekkan Wata no Yu (Adult Only)

Location, cleanliness, friendly, helpful & accommodating reception person. The free coffee/tea & tea biscuits in the lounge were convenient & a nice touch. We also loved the onsen in the hotel, although it would have also been nice to have in-room showers…although we realize this was not really a western-style hotel. Reception person spoke & understood English which was also helpful.

Wish check-out was the standard 11:00 am vs. 10 am, but they did hold our bags for us until our bus departure & also let us rest in the hotel lounge. Nice staffperson also called a taxi for us.

I had such a lovely stay and there was so much to love about Kusatsu Hotel Bekkan Wata no yu. The location was great - I could walk to all the main tourist spots within 15 minutes. I loved the view from my room, which overlooked the Sainokawara Park, and the majestic Kusatsu Hotel across the road. There was a lovely peaceful vibe in the hotel, and the sound of the river babbling at night was so relaxing. Breakfast was amazing, and next time I will like to make a reservation for dinner as well. Last, but not least, the wonderful hot springs. The water was so soothing and relaxing, I am missing the daily baths already. Thank you to the lovely hostess Miki, and see you again soon!

Quiet. Hugh room. Tub and shower Great view of the park. 10 minute walk to the yubatan.

Take your shoes off at the front. They supply slippers.

Our room (with bath and shower) and location was fabulous. The extra care taken by owners and staff is evident everywhere, quiet and quality with many well thought out details

Oooo It is awkward for those of us unfamiliar to get used to the practice of changing shoes (especially when they don't fit). It is worth the effort though for the Ryoken experience
