Some of the best food I have ever had in Japan. The traditional Japanese breakfast was fantastic. They use such good ingredients and everything is beautifully presented in ornate crockery.

Food was wonderful-equal to the other best food ryokan in our seven weeks of travel in Japan. Dinners and breakfasts were sophisticated, flavourful and beautiful in their presentation. The owner was warm and lovely and although not speaking much English, managed to communicate effectively. The futon bed was comfortable. Our room was lovely with fresh flowers, a private, wonderful onsen and a separate annex area for storage, a toilet and a second basin area. There was incredible attention to detail in everything. We thought that the cost was very reasonable given the luxury and quality of the food. For me, it was a destination quality experience.
