Location and ability to park the car before the check-in. It is very close to the Sainokawara park. And short distance from Yubatake. Japanese breakfast was really good.
We stayed at Pedalo and it is not connected to the rest of the hotel. We had to take our luggage on our own down and up the hill walking on the street.

All the details of the property were so considered and it is a lovely design.
The onsen was wonderful. Having never experienced one before, this was a great introduction.
The staff were so attentive.
I would have loved a little more room with three teenagers but it was surprisingly comfortable given the small space.

Service staff were extremely attentive and remembered my preferences clearly even though they were minor. Room was very spacious and more than enough room for two. The baths were very enjoyable and the water was good. Breakfast and dinner was very good and I also enjoyed the alcohol served. I would say the ryokan experience was excellent and definitely worth staying. Staying in this ryokan is a highlight for my trip to Japan.
The ongoing renovation closed part of the hotel and hence made the place a little confusing. The bathwater at the onsen became quite hot indoors when no one was using it. Otherwise the hotel is a good experience.
