Comfortable bed, with good facilities. Lovely staff!

Bad car park. Lots of noise and smells of smoke in early hours of the morning.

Since the monent we arrived, the staff were absolutely lovely and welcoming. We wemt away for my partners birthday weekend. There is free tea/coffee during ur stay in the bar area. The rooms are basic but have everything u need. Shower gel and shampoo available in ur room along with a kettle etc.. The room was tidy. The mattress wasnt brilliant. But nothing ever compares to ur own bed. Location is ideal lots of shops ariund the hotel/pub. Lovely Indian across the road that we went to one night. Reasonably priced. They arnt licenced to sell alcohol but u can take ur owm. They do an amazing strawberry daquri mocktail Must try..... There was entertainment on both nights we stayed in the bar. There is minimal parking at the rear. We managed to get a space at the front of the hotel. Would definitely stay again. Thank u for a lovely birthday weekend. Xxx

We are a returning customers as we’ve been there already last year during winter holiday( and going to exact same place which is Thomas Land). We like everything about the place; breakfast is good, location is good as nearby ThomasLand, comfy beds, hot shower even Tesco express just opposite which is very handy.

The bar and the staff, friendly, helpful and very down to earth

The rooms are basic and a bit tired. They are fine for solo travellers like myself, I love this place which offers great value for money but maybe avoid staying here with the your Mrs, who may have higher expectations than you!

Decor needs sorting, ripped carpets and marks on walls and ceilings. Very noisy due to entertainment in bar.

The Wi-Fi was off for all day on 11 Dec. and it was not working till I checked out on 12 Dec.

Nothing to dislike but if you looking for a quiet early night, best chat with reception regarding a room further away from bar noise

The staff were really lovely and very helpful. The bed was comfortable and it was a good location for the shops, bars and restaurants. We also had a nice breakfast on Saturday morning.

Unfortunately there was mould on the blind, the corridor was stinking of dope and fags, the noise from the beer garden was absolutely terrible especially on Saturday night. The bathroom roof was damp and mouldy and the paint had peeled off in sections. The carpet was frayed at the entrance to the bathroom and it also had stains on it. The chair at the dressing table was covered in stains.

The lady at check in was helpful. (Prior to that, all communication had been a farce)

Car park very small, was already full. Hotel common areas were absolutely filthy. No kettle etc in room (as advertised) instead, a flask of hot water was available downstairs in the bar of the pub to make hot drinks, ridiculous. Additionally, door to get down to bar was locked at specific times, inconveniently. The room was dirty, cold (I slept in my clothes) patches of damp/water leak on ceiling; blind so gross I didn’t want to touch it. Walls also covered in marks and dirt. Yuck. Couldn’t use any surfaces. Noisy, not only from bar downstairs, but also a constant loud noise from outside (maybe a generator, air con etc) didn’t want to touch blind to open window to have a look. The list goes on…

The carpets were old and dirty. Blind in our room had no means of pulling it up, sink had no plug.

No kettle in room although free tea and coffee was available. Only breakfast available which was great but no food afternoon or evening however we were allowed to bring own food in.

27 room's on site parking for 8 vehicles, once paid told there will be live music for both nights, our room was right next to bar, no food would be served as they were having live music, no tea and coffee in the room it's in the bar oh that's where there having live music. Our room had the outside seating smoking area outside our window, so out of pocket as did not stay, when I handed back my key and asked why I said because of the live music I was told it doesn't go on all night, no offer of refund or partial refund or anything else.

Nothing at all. It was horrendous in every way possible.

On arrival they couldnt find keys so waited 20 mins whilst they located them. Room filthy, mattresses on beds big dips in middle, pillows flat, remote control from television lost, frayed carpets, holes in walls, bathroom not cleaned, bin over flowing, broken bathroom door handle, music from disco so loud the floor was vibrating in our room- went on until 12.30 at night and then people in beer garden shouting until 2. Fire escape left open so people going up and down corridor and slamming doors. Utterly horrendous refused to stay second might we were booked in for.

The staff were nice and friendly. Nice breakfast. Comfy bed. Nice hot shower.

To get to the hotel rooms you have to walk through the busy rowdy pub. No toiletries in the bathroom not even hand soap to wash your hands. Only half a loo roll in our bathroom on arrival. No tea/coffee/kettle in room you have to go into the bar for free tea and coffee... Obviously not really convenient and very strange not to have it in the room.

The food which was available was very limited but what there was , was good . The position of the pub was ideal/ central for what we required. Staff was very friendly and made you welcome.

Rooms need alot of TLC, but do appreciate that the manager was new to the premises. Give her a bit of time and hopefully should improve. No tea or coffee in room but was available down stairs in the bar. Hope that will change.? Parking at the pub was very limited, first come first serve and had to go through petrol station to get to carpark. If you like sport , the bar area is very good as there were three TVs to watch. Drinks are extremely reasonable. Especially HAPPY HOUR!!!!

Some TLC may be required in some rooms. Nothing else is bad. It is all good.

Absolutely nothing.

The state of the rooms, the cleanliness, the noise. It looks nothing like it is as advertised on Booking.com, this should be removed from the website as its false advertising. It needs modernising, cleaning and most of the furniture replacing. Damp in the room. Cigarette butt's wedged in to the timber joists. Holes in the walls. Headboards look like they have been used in adults movies. Its a shame it is only limited to a few photos. Myself and family/friends between us over this weekend just gone had 5 rooms here and each and everyone of us had the same issue, Room 7 has an air con unit attached to the wall that is so loud it sounds like your in a tent under the flight path at Heathrow Terminal 5.
