Not fit for people to stay in

Nothing it was full of mould and damp, there was scaffolding around the property, buckets full of water, it smell horrendous

The staff were very helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, only issue was there was no milk in the room.

Location was very good for access to the town centre, I was very pleased with the cost of the stay.

I was initially concerned about the lack of on-site parking, but there is a nearby council car park. Although it was very busy, we fortunately managed to find a space.

The bed was comfortable.

At this price point, I felt like the hotel was below expectation. The hotel is run down, the room was not as clean as it should have been and there is poor insulation, meaning noise comes through. There was insufficient toilet paper. There was no phone in the room and when I called reception several times from my mobile there was no answer. I asked for breakfast in my room but after a long delay I was told this not possible. When I got to the restaurant I was not given a choice of what to eat. The Wifi didn't work in the room and even downstairs was too slow for me to work from.

Great location for the town, spacious room with very comfortable bed

Had to ask for the heating to be put on as room was freezing and not that warm even with it on. Beautiful shower which we couldn’t use because the bathroom had no heating at all. No hot water in the tap throughout our stay

Breakfast N/A. I was on a brief visit for two specific reasons. Location couldn't have been better. Central but not slap bang in the middle, which was less than five minutes away on foot. Beautiful old building being run by a team who are giving it a damn good go

It didn't particularly matter to me, but there are no lifts,and a fair few stairs. Heavy machinery early doors could've been annoying but I was up anyway and you can hardly blame the hotel for that.

Good central location

Very welcome, friendly staff. Beds are very comfy. Good sized room and great sized bathroom. Reasonably priced food. Any problems and staff sort straight away, very helpful.

There was lots of noise outside our room at night (must have been near a club or something).

Return of the castle!!!

Firstly very happy that it has reopened as we stayed there a lot. First impressions were great, greeted by man on reception with a nice friendly face. Then a young man carried our bag to our room which was a nice touch. Room very comfortable and clean. Few things need improving but think it is still a work in progress. We will definitely stay again, so close to everything😃

Had to retune the television as signal not good and kept breaking up. No iron/ironing board.
