Good location: a Victorian era house in a lovely region. It is not deluxe but is thoughtfully run and great value. My room was in the attic and I had the best sleep ever in a comfortable bed with a lovely late spring breeze coming from the windows. The host Garreth was courteous and welcoming, and gave me good ideas of what to do in my too- short stay.
There are stairs, I can’t deny it!

Bed was comfy, room was cosy, location was great for a short walk into bowness and windermere
Our room was right above the boiler which kept us awake half the night as it switched on and off. There was no breakfast provided despite this being advertised as being included in the rate but this there was nothing discounted from the price we paid.
Our agreement was that a 50% deposit would be taken 2 days before our arrival but instead the full cost was taken 3 days before arrival without prior notice.
