Exceptional host. Met us at the place. Gave us very useful directions and recommendations. Appartments was very clean. With water, coffee and sweets. Beds were comfortable. We had a very good stay.
We lost a bag in one of the restaurants we visited in Matera. After we left Matera we found out that happened but didn't have time to get back and look for that. The host was so kind to go there and find it for us. Then he helped us to ship it to us. This should tell everyone what an exceptional host he is. We never experienced such great customer experience. Really appreciate that.

L’appartamento si trova a Matera, nella zona industriale e commerciale della città. La posizione non è particolarmente suggestiva dal punto di vista estetico, ma risulta molto comoda: nelle vicinanze ci sono supermercati e attività commerciali. Inoltre, a breve distanza in auto, si trova un parcheggio comunale a prezzi onesti, ideale per lasciare la macchina e visitare i Sassi, che si raggiungono facilmente anche a piedi.
L’alloggio è al primo piano con piccolo ascensore, ben attrezzato e pulito; manca la lavatrice, ma l’informazione è chiaramente indicata in fase di prenotazione. Il proprietario è stato molto cordiale e disponibile, lasciando non solo caffè (con molte cialde), tè, tisane, acqua e alcuni prodotti per il bagno, ma anche utili informazioni sul Materano: un’accoglienza sicuramente gradita.
All’esterno c’è un terrazzo grande, che potrebbe però essere rifinito meglio, poiché gli spazi sono separati da vasi e fioriere rispetto a quelli degli altri condomini, tra cui i proprietari. È comunque presente un filo per stendere i panni, davvero funzionale, e non posso non sottolineare la gentilezza dei proprietari che, in caso di maltempo, si offrono di ritirarli e riconsegnarli davanti a casa.
La parte esterna del condominio e le foto pubblicate, invece, non rispecchiano del tutto la realtà: sarebbe utile aggiornarle per renderle più fedeli e offrire un’immagine più corretta dell’ambiente. Alcuni complementi d’arredo, infine, potrebbero essere più leggeri o moderni, ma si tratta esclusivamente di gusto personale.
In conclusione, un appartamento funzionale e ben servito, ottimo come base per visitare Matera, con margini di miglioramento soprattutto sulla presentazione degli spazi esterni.

Rocco, the host, was absolutely wonderful. We had a last minute change of plans and had to take the bus to Matera, and he was very gracious, generous, and kind in accommodating us and making it possible for us to get to the apartment.
I cannot say enough about what a good person the host was.
The property was exceptionally clean and very enjoyable to relax and rest in. The terrace overlooking the hills was a very nice.
Because we didn’t have a car, we relied on the bus to get to the Sassi from the host’s apartment. It is only 15-20 minutes to the Sassi, which is convenient, but the bus didn’t run on schedule from the bus stop nearby and there was one time we had to wait quite a while for a bus (however, the buses from the Sassi left right on time and we were back to the host’s apartment within 15-20 minutes).
