A perfect base for our trip to the Lucca Summer Festival - we’ll be back!

We loved everything about the apartment - its location, decor and furnishings, and the wonderful outside area. Very helpful hosts too.

The lock on the internal door wasn’t the easiest to lock/unlock but we’d got the hang of if by the end of our stay.

Lovely hosts and apartment.

The hosts were very kind and the apartment furnished creatively and with many thoughtful touches. It was great for a solo traveller but was also set up with toys and imaginative provisions for a family. I loved that there was a handwritten note and extra bottle so that I could use the closest drinking water fountain. There was some starter food and water waiting for me on arrival and an easy-to-use washing machine and ironing board. I learnt not to use the oven but use the special oven- microwave instead as the oven tripped the fuse. Dario was very helpful when I needed to reset the fuse on my first evening. The apartment was quiet and cool despite the heat.

Little gem of apartment tucked in side Lucca

Beautiful quiet location just tucked inside wall of Lucca but only a few minutes to main museums churches and restaurant’s , large comfortable bed , cosy garden to paint in, large bathroom with walk in shower and some toiletries , air con in front room and bedroom but cool inside when hot outside , milk and water and tea/coffee to start you off the week . Lots of interesting art and books about Italy to read . And VERY kind helpful hosts - Thanks

A taste of heaven in Lucca

An exceptional location. Charming hosts who go out of their way to make your stay perfect. Very clean, beautifully decorated and well equipped with a large outdoor terrace to relax in.(This is the fourth time we have stayed here. )

Best Accommodation in Lucca!!!!

The property is located next to the Wall of Lucca which was great for easy access. I highly recommend walking the entire wall (2.6 miles) It was located in a quiet area yet close to everything. You can easily walk around the corner and there is a restaurant, but an easy (flat) walk of less than 10 minutes gets you all kinds of restaurants and grocery store. It is ground floor accommodations (no stairs). The bed was very comfortable. Extra pillows and blankets are provided, as well as, extra towels (a plus). There is a closet to hang clothes too. The host left all kinds of treats for us (cookies, crackers, jam, honey, water + coffee, sugar, milk, salt, pepper, olive oil and balsamic). The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking (which we did a lot). It even has a dishwasher and microwave (not common in many places). There is a washer and clothes line to dry clothes outside in a beautiful porch. There is a covered area with table and chairs for dining al fresco plus an area not covered where the clothes line is (not visible from porch which is nice). The living room sofa and chair were extremely comfortable for watching tv or just relaxing. The decor is very pleasing (lots of memorabilia and artwork). They also have many books to choose from. They even have umbrellas to borrow in case of rain. In my opinion, this host takes great pride in providing an excellent accommodation with lots of details you normally don't get. We loved Lucca and this place was perfect for our visit. I highly recommend it.

Fabulous apartment in great location - I will return again

This apartment is in a fabulous location just a few streets away from the old town centre and also a short path from the front door takes you to the wall and its walking path. This apartment was the best stocked and had best equipment I have experienced in my six weeks travelling - the bed was very comfortable - plenty of extra linen & blankets if needed - the hosts were very kind and I received regular updates about any festivals or markets from them that were happening during my stay - also good restaurants in the area

I found the apartment a little tricky to find coming from the station but once I had my location firm it was easy to get to and from each day after exploring this beautiful town

Great stay great host

Dario met us and showed us around. Really lovely guy! The place was spaciouse fpr a holiday rental. We were ther with 2 kids (7 and 1 1/2 year olds). The cot was great for the little one, the bedroom very dark necasue of the sutters (just like we want it). The kids could run around the flat and into the back courtyard/pateo and play. The kitchen was great but missing knives to chop food with. The location is great, close to the centre - as everything is quite close and just by the wall so easy to get to the big food shop on the other side of the wall. Brilliant place and brilliant host, would definetly reccomemd.

Lucca is a cute town, have enough to do, good restaurants, good shops. Great park for walk and run.

The place is very cute, the host is very nice and the kitchen is well equipped with crackers, cookies, coffee and tea etc. We didn't cook, we did use the washer for clothes. The day was misty and couldn't get the clothes dry on the lines so we took it to the laundromat for drying. It's right by the wall /park/path, so it could be convenient to use the park path to go to different places. Quiet for rest, I slept on the sofa bed and is comfortable. The place is pretty roomy. Lucca is convenient to take day trip to nearby towns, we went to Pisa. Communication with host is good, nice guy. kind host.

We had a very hard time to find this place when we first arrived. Fortunately we met a nun who is so kind to help us.

Perfection!

We could not have asked for a better host nor a better location for our week in Lucca. The apartment was the best equipped and most comfortable apartment we have stayed in since we arrived in Europe 6 weeks ago. Darius was so warm and welcoming. The apartment is on a quiet street just a few steps from an entry to the city wall and just a few hundred meters from all of the attractions in the historic center. I'm certain we will return to Lucca and S. Agostino Fronte Mura.

The room was exceptional with a beautiful outside patio to enjoy. The owners were very communicative and offered advice on the area and was available for any questions. The inside was really tastefully decorated and the kitchen had everything and more. Such a beautiful experience and highly recommended.

Some Autumn Sun

The location, the facilities and the fact the apartment was at ground level, in a quiet traffic free area. These are things, that for us, make an ideal base. Throw in beautiful weather and you have all the ingredients for a great break. Everything was clean, well presented and tastefully furnished with the main commercial area of Lucca a 5 minute walk away. The accommodation had a well equipped kitchen, although we ate our main meals out. The bed was comfortable and the garden/utility area was a great bonus. We did not use a car so are unable to comment on parking but there is free parking close by. Everything you need is within walking distance and a brisk walk to the Train Station is a good way to start your day. If there were any issues during our stay, they were so minor, as to be beyond recall. A refreshing, low stress experience.

Italian locks! The door locks, in common to most of the the others we have encountered in Italy, are a nightmare. They seem to defy all logic and in a week it's difficult to form an effective plan for gaining quick access. Not a fault of the property just an Italian oddity or a couple of dumb guests?

Super comfy and pleasant stay!

This apartment with a little backyard and all amenities you need (including air conditioning, washing machine, microwave, high speed Wi-Fi) is beautifully decorated and in a perfect location. There is even free parking a few blocks away. The host, Dario is incredibly friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this apartment!

Perfecto in Lucca

The apartment was beautifully decorated very clean, there was everything we could need. Nr to the centre and the city wall . The host was very accommodating and personally recommended an art exhibition and a number of restaurants 2 of which we used and were excellent 😀

This spacious, well equipped apartment was perfect for our three day/four night stay in Lucca. In fact, it would be ideal for a longer term stay as well. Our host Dario was very kind and responsive to messages via WhatsApp. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals at home: a five burner gas stovetop; a gas oven; an under-counter refrigerator (with small freezer); a microwave; and, a full-size under-counter dishwasher. There’s plenty of cutlery, pots and pans and serving dishes. We were easily able to make some quite complex meals there, aided by a reasonable range of spices to enhance your cooking. The large washroom has a shower with great pressure and lots of hot water. Provided towels are plentiful and soft - a nice treat. Another huge plus is having access to a modern washing machine (with provided laundry detergent). There is a comfortable sectional couch (which pulls out into a small bed if needed) and a small dining room table that seats two comfortably, four in a pinch. There is also a small outdoor patio where you can enjoy a coffee or glass of wine. The apartment is located immediately at the base of a ramp to the famous medieval wall surrounding the old town - so convenient. It’s also a short walk to various markets, and all the fantastic shopping, bars/cafés, restaurants and historic sites that Lucca’s old town has to offer. Great value for money; highly recommended.

The only very minor drawback is that the wifi signal is up and down. When it’s strong it’s great; when it’s weak it’s effectively non-existent. But this minor downside did nothing to diminish our enjoyment of this fabulous property.

Wonderful Stay at lovely Lucca

Property within the old town walls at the end of a cul de sac and was therefore very quiet. The walls were 50 meters from the property and there is an uninterrupted walk/run/cycle all the way round for 4km above the town. Property very new and very well decorated and equipped; it is an old carpenters workshop that has been sensitively converted. Old beams etc Great air conditioning. Lovely modern bathroom and kitchen/diner.

Idylic Spot with wonderful hosts.

Excellent location within the historic walls close to all main sites, bars and cafes. Kind, helpful hosts, Dario greeted us with a smile even though we were 3 hours late due to a flight delay. Spotlessly clean with every comfort and even a kettle. This is the second time we have stayed here and would always be our first choice in Lucca,
