Geraldine’s house was spacious and clean. It is a wonderful base for exploring the surrounding countryside, historical sites, waterways and pubs/restaurants.

Scarriff is a charming little town, but not a lot to do in terms of activities for young teens, although it has some lovely sheltered spots if you enjoy a bit of fishing.

5 star family holiday

We loved everything about our stay in Riverbank Cottages. The house had everything we could have asked for. Geraldine had a folder in the house that answered all the questions about the house. It also had suggestions for day trips when we exhausted our own list of things to do.

Enjoyable and no hic ups .

We did not have breakfast . The property was in an ideal location. Quiet and yet,near all facilities . Restaurants, supermarket, off licence, water park etc etc.

Lovely

Property was clean and location was perfect for our needs. The only real concern was the coin-operated electricity meter. Had never come across this before, making it tough to gauge what our usage would be, and, therefore, how many coins we'd need.

My stay at Riverbank cottages

The bedrooms were excellent very clean and warm there was lots of room to park my car outside there were loads of stations on the TV the toilets and bathroom were very clean there was no dirt in any of the house there were bins for recycling which I thought was great

We stayed in a few similar properties throughout our travels in Ireland and this was by far the most spotlessly clean - it was immaculate. I had the best sleep here too. Geraldine was friendly and super helpful and her information pack was extremely useful.

Having an electricity meter but in reality this was cheap and easy to use.

Well equipped house and close to the town. There's an activity center nearby and a boat rental place that is quieter than some of the larger places along the river.

The power was coin operated. I didn't see that in the location and meant having to go get change to run it. A small thing, by no means a deal breaker.

Perfect family stay

Everything we needed was provided in the house,it was spotless and comfortable and on the main route to all the tourist spots. Macnamaras pub about 5 minutes walk away provided exceptional dinners with friendly staff. Geraldine our host was extremely helpful offering information on routes to take and where to visit.i would definitely return.

Geraldine was there to meet us with the key and gave us great recommendations for dinner. She was very friendly and helpful with other queries we had. The house is wonderfully spacious and clean (I actually commented to a friend on how fresh and clean the towels and bed linen smelt!). The house is in a great location in the town of Scarriff and yet extremely peaceful - the best of both worlds.

Great house on a stunning location

I absolutely loved the comfort of the house and the fact that it was so clean! Normally I travel with my family of 5 and even then we would have considered that the house offers ample space for a family of 5 or 6. 3 good sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a separate WC is a luxury in a holiday cottage. Also the ground floor is spacious and the kitchen well equiped. I could not have asked for more. Geraldine is a lovery host, very friendly and helpful. All the information needed was carefully displayed. Clare county absolutely blew me away with its stunning views and beautiful lakes and rivers.

Good location for touring the west of Ireland. Visit the Irish Seed Savers Association in Scariff you'll be glad you did - its fascinating.

Perfect location

The cottage was cozy, very clean and spacious. The location was perfect and just seconds from shops takeaways pubs chemist. The views from the windows overlooking the river were beautiful. The host is a wonderful pleasant lady. Easy to contact.

The 10am check out is a little early when on Holiday. Although I understand cleaning has to take place.

We loved everything about this house. It was spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and everything you could possibly need was provided such as tea towels, towels, clothes horse, toilet roll, cooking spray and teapot. In fact this house should be the standard others try to reach. Our host Geraldine was so helpful, pointing out local attractions and activities. Excellent all round!
