Malodorous

Nothing

The room has an awful rotten and stinky smell that does not go away. Malodorous. Window does not open so no fresh air flow at all. There is black mould around the window showing poor or no ventilation existed. We did not stay in there at all for health and safety reason. Staff do not help. In our opinion, this room should not be sold to anyone. Unlawful!

Small room but good value for money

One of the cheapest rooms in Grindelwald. The breakfast was amazing and the staff nice.

No elevator in the building. The room was quite small, it was fine for me and my girlfriend, but I would only recommend it for young people.

Nice hotel with good breakfast, but placed in small cramped room in attic.

The breakfast was great and views outside were nice. The room was clean and staff kind.

The room did not look like the main photo on the listing, but only one of the pictures showed later that was not obvious. It had no windows on the wall and was cramped in the attic. Shower room 1 floor lower in inconvenient. It was on the opposite side of the train station from the downtown in Grindelwald, which made the location only okay.

Managers and hotel staff are all kind and supportive We can get train & cablecar tickets in grindelwald area at hotel counter. It’s quite useful and save time. Buffet breakfast is also very good!

Amazing stay and hotel

Everything was perfect for what I paid for ! All the staff was super friendly and polite including the ladies at reception and breakfast team but Daniel and Marcel are the superstars. Both helped me a lot as it was my first time to Grindelwald. Amazing breakfast included with room even I booked the basic room ! Hotel is very very close to grindelwald station and town !! They also have luggage to leave space which was very convenient after checking out. Everything was perfect and amazing !! Thank you for making my trip beautiful. I will definitely and only will stay there when I visit next

Great breakfast

Excellent location Amazing breakfast spread with variety of cheese spread, 3 jams, many breads. Also included fruits, cereals etc. Great views from the breakfast area Staff is very cordial and polite Room had a basin and hair dryer so getting ready was much quicker Can get tickets for Jungfrau and Grindelwald First from the counter itself as they are authorized sellers (without any commission)

A kitchen space would have been good Not all rooms have the frontside Mountain view, I was on the back side but it was doable

The stay was awesome and very charming atmosphere.

breakfast was good with lots of options. The personal were outstanding -willing to answer multiple questions, having tickets available for things we wanted to do, and providing a place to hold your luggage for you before and after checking in.

No elevator. A low step to get into room, which I seemed to always forget was there, and a very soft spot going into the bathroom.

Beautiful Spot

Rm 266 I think Room cosy with handbasin, only toilet and shower shared but never saw anyone else. Shower closest to the stairs was fabulous, lots of room, great pressure. Train track close but couldn't hear it with double glazing. Reception, breakfast and cleaning staff all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with ham, salami, cheeses and hard boiled eggs. Easy location to trains and having a free pass to the buses also great.

Really lovely hotel with very helpful staff. Breakfast was great, always fresh selection and really good coffee too. Would stay here again.

The building is old and nor very soundproof, but it was never a big issue for me as I sleep with earplugs.

We booked one double and one single room. The double room however had two single beds. The rooms were a bit dark and could do with better lighting. The property could do with some refurb, but for the price we paid, I can't complain

Everything is perfect

Is very recommended for solo traveler. I booked a single room with shared bath at very affordable rate. The room size is acceptable and share bathroom is so luxury and clean. I feel so warm when I step into the lobby. I did not expect it is so cozy and nice with this rate. The front desk staff Andrea is very friendly and helpful. You can book the First entrance ticket here with the same rate at the counter, can skip the hassle of queue. The location and breakfast is superb. They serve rice for breakfast so is very suitable for Asian. You can enjoy the super good view with your breakfast. I will definitely go back again.

Take note there is no elevator, but is acceptable for me as I’m staying at 1st floor.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. When we had breakfast, one waitress (tall, thin with short hair) always greeted us with a smile. The shared bathroom was clean.

The room was a bit too small and the lighting was not so good when I wanted do some reading. If I had larger luggage, there wouldn’t be enough space to walk around in the room. The ceiling was a bit too low. Though I got what I paid for, some revamp can make this room look more comfortable.

We had the top floor basic room. Reasonable size but one tiny skylight window. Eventually managed to open it but still very hot at night. Fan was provided but didn't quite take the edge off. In middle of summer will be too hot
