Beautiful modern cottage a real home from home,Very comfortable and quiet.A great place to reset

Hosts very responsive via text message met us at the property to ensure we didnt drive past the entrance as it was winter and the main road is unlit. We were welcomed into the property and given a quick tour and told to contact if we had any issues -this was great as we were ready to just relax. Property was very modern, clean and warm as well as well equipped for our stay. In a lovely quiet location but not far from the local town on foot and nearby attractions in the car . Hosts very friendly and seemed interested in what we were wanting to do in the area even sending us an email prior to arrival with local attractions

A little more guidance on rubbish and recycling may have helped in the overview on booking.com but was easy enough to figure out where recycling was and im sure if we had text then paul and lucie would have told us straight away

Fabulous cottage, decorated with wonderful special touches by really lovely owners. Incredibly comfortable, with everything you could possibly need. Great location, peaceful but just a pleasant 20mins walk to the centre of town.

The cottage was very comfortable and super clean. It has absolutely everything that you need whether you’re staying one night or a few weeks. Paul and Lucie are amazing too, really welcoming and around if you need them but respect your privacy. A perfect little bolt hole to explore the surrounding beautiful countryside.

Very comfortable, clean well-equipped accommodation, well located and with very friendly hosts.

The location was chosen because of its proximity to family that we were visiting nearby. An added bonus was a pub that served excellent food within a few minutes walk. Thirsk itself was also easily accessible by foot.

Nothing that we didn't like but perhaps a couple of things that would enhance the facilities. Although the bathroom could probably be classed as a wet room, a shower curtain might help water spreading too far. Also, a towel rail next to the shower would be handy. I also found the bedside lamp a bit difficult to read by so perhaps a different sort of shade might help.

A lovely short break

The accommodation was spotless and very well equipped. In a great location about 15 minutes walk into the centre of Thirsk. The hosts were so helpful and friendly.

Fab cottage, fab location, fab hosts. Just book it!

The property was spotless, well equipped and had everything for a comfortable stay. And we slept like logs in the extremely comfy bed. The location was super for both easy access to the shops and restaurants of Thirsk and to good road connections to all of the other sights and towns of the Dales. But Paul and Lucie our hosts definitely made the stay with their friendliness and attentiveness. Nothing was a bother and they were always happy to suggest places to go or nice restaurants to try. A beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. Without a doubt, when we are back in this part of Yorkshire. We’ll be booking again!

Would love to stay here again but in the 2 bedroom property,

So much to do in the area, the property itself is lovely, it had everything we could need. Space for dogs to run and lovely outdoor seating. Great recommendations for places to eat and visit. The host was very welcoming.

The soundproofing between properties wasn’t the best, we are early birds but the neighbours were up late. They were not being loud but we could hear them talking/drinking until late.

Good find

Great location for Thirsk and getting about North Yorkshire. Thoughtfully equipped accomodation, really nice people, welcoming and helpful. Booked as a spontaneous trip on the day, delighted with our good luck. Would definitely stay again. Might try the glamping pods in the future.

Cosy cottage in a rural location but close to many things to do, and dog friendly

It was easy to find, a great location near to a number of different attractions, and it was clean and cosy. Our dog also enjoyed using the enclosed paddock. Very friendly host who was around for any questions or help with anything.

Stayed in one bedroom cottage which was spotlessly clean and really spacious. Reclining seats a nice bonus. Well equipped kitchen and nice outdoor seating. Location great for exploring North Yorkshire. Lovely small run family business, the owners exude a positive, warm energy and shared local knowledge of places to visit. Loved it!

Beautifully appointed clean cottage. Everything you could possibly (and extra!) need was provided. The hosts were amazing, so friendly and welcoming. The area is beautiful and quiet, it's a short walk to Thirsk centre and ideal location for exploring too.

Great location, easy walk into Thirsk center following either main road footpath or the scenic route via the fields. Local pub resteraunt 10 minute walk away serving good food at decent prices and real ales. Glamping site was quiet and the hard working hosts superb, and always willing to have a quick chat. The cottage was very clean, tidy and had everything you needed, tea bags and coffe supplied and of particular note was the gift of 6 fresh eggs from Paul and Lucie's Chickens, very nice poached on toast.

The rain could have stopped a day earlier, but hey ho, the reservoirs need filling so, nothing else really.

we had a lovely time, so much so we have booked again for later in the year

the location was very good, very clean and comfortable and some nice little touches like shower gel in the bathroom, and tea and coffee if you had forgotten these things.

the only thing I would say, is the hedge down the drive way maybe needed cutting back a little as it’s a bit tight to get down and we got a few scratches on the car.

An excellent place to stay whilst in Thirsk

Home from home. The hosts had thought of everything, all we had to provide was food and drink, although they did provide a volume of tea bags on arrival. The place was spotless and the hosts made us feel very welcome.
