The location is perfect for arrival by train. We walked along the coast path and over the bridge to the property and that took 5 mins. In rough weather, the waves come over the coast path so you can walk through the town.
The property is perhaps the best I have ever stayed in for location right over the sea with sunrise to greet you in the morning. The space is huge with two lovely bedrooms inc ensuite facilities. Plenty of books and dvds if you want to stay in which we did one night with a takeaway curry from the Co-op and bottle of wine. The owners kindly left some goodies in the fridge. I liked everything about this property including all the railway memorabilia. I highly recommend staying here.
Staying longer!
One point to mention if you need to take a taxi, book well in advance. We tried to get one from the property to our next destination, a hotel in Dawlish Warren where we were meeting a group from our local RSPB. It is only a short distance but we had cases and didn't want to wheel them along the coast path or go to get a train as raining quite hard. It was a Sunday morning and the taxi companies we rang either didn't work on Sundays or would be too hungover after drinking on Saturday night! In the end we had to train it. Anyway this is nothing to do with the property but just a useful hint.
