Old Town House

Fabulous cottage, tucked away in the old town of Dawlish but an easy walk to the local shops and town centre. Cottage was very clean and stocked with everything you could need.

The mattress on the double bed on the first floor was a little uncomfortable but the top bedroom was perfect.

Location was excellent for getting around Dawlish . Easy to walk to beach and shops .

Stairs in the property are narrow and handrail a bit scary . It was fine for our party but would be a worry for elderly or less mobile . But ,I have to say that we we adequate warning about it before hand . I’m 67 and other members in my party were younger . I wouldn’t want to be carrying a baby or small child up and down though . I think it’s an old charming cottage and it’s been very thoughtfully and tastefully modernised and as long as you are aware of the stairs it’s fine

Great location, great price, easy to find, clearly labelled parking space and comfortable living space. You can walk to Dawlish Warren and Teignmouth, then get the train back.

The mattresses are in bad shape, especially the 3rd bedroom. I suspect they have been used by heavier people, so my son found the springs were digging into him.
