Don’t overlook this wee gem!

A cosy hotel stay located near Roma’s beach area of Fiumicino along the canal. The location is an ideal location for shuttle transfers to and from the accommodation. A short stroll - along the waterway provides a calming walk taking in the fishing boats and wow sunsets. Restaurants are also dotted along the walk route. Lots of choice for seafood lovers. Felt very safe and staff were very helpful with arrival information, booking shuttle services to airport and on arriving to stay.

Just perfect!

The foyer to Domus Valadier is very charming. The room was beyond my expectation. It was spacious, clean and great for a 1 night stay. The receptionist, Migella, was amazing and super helpful. Just loved her. There are many restaurants along the docks and has a nice vibe to it. The Inclusive breakfast of a croissant or pastry with a hot beverage (espresso of course) was lovely. Thank you Domus Valadier for a great last evening and stay in Italy.

Pick another place to stay...there are better options nearby

The hotel is close to the airport and offers a shuttle service at a minimal cost. The location is convenient.

Although the location is convenient, there was constant noise from traffic and cars honking. The room had much wear and tear, with the headboard frayed, part of the ceiling was hanging (although it was covered by the fancy French curtains). I woke up to a wet floor in the hallway (my best guess is that there was a leak in the ceiling). My stay included breakfast which is at a separate location called Le Moko. When I went to get breakfast at Le Moko, the lady was absolutely rude to me. It's as if she was upset that I was there for free breakfast (not free since it was an additional expense on my total hotel bill). All I received for breakfast was a coffee and a pastry...that's it.

If you want to have a good night's sleep before heading to the airport, do NOT stay here!

What sounded to me to be a water pump in the wall behind the bed would turn on and off at random times throughout the evening and night, and was so loud that it even woke me up around 3am. When it was on it sounded like a motor being revved. The pillows are a larger version of what you get on an airplane. The voucher for breakfast at a nearby cafe that didn't open until 7am was useless since we had to leave for the airport before then and there was no possibility of making alternate arrangements. The facility is located a mere 10 min drive from the airport but early morning transit options were almost non-existent and taxi/Uber options were ridiculously expensive. The earliest shuttle to the airport was at 06:55 which got us to the check-in only 1 hr before our international flight departure, just barely enough time to catch our flight which was already boarding by the time we arrived at the gate.

reception was excellent. The room was clean and tidy and worked well for my needs. Which was a bed for the night close to the airport. The reception was lovely, considerate and caring.

Finding the shuttle was tricky. I was on the wrong level (departures) to start with. As always there is always someone to ask so , no drama.

Poor communication from staff re: entry outside of "check in" times.

Basic needs were met. The washroom and linens were fine. Small fridge in the room was nice to have. Easy enough to get to using Cotral bus from FCO.

Entry to the property was terrible. Check in was only available 1600-1930, but they stated they would accommodate you if you arrive earlier/later. I provided and confirmed my check in time, which was earlier than check in time, the day prior with the property manager and was just told "Ok thanks". No instructions were provided to me to accommodate my early check in. I assumed it would be okay and we would be able to get in. However, we arrived, only to find we were locked out. I had no service and no wifi information was provided for me to try to connect from outside so I could communicate with them or check in. I tried to ask for help next door only to be very rudely told "get out" and not helped at all. We waited in the heat, but eventually I had to find wifi to contact the property, so I walked all the way to McDonald's and got in touch. I explained we were locked out and no one was answering the doorbell. The lady manager called me and said "oh yes, we will give you the code to get in" - with no apology, as if they didn't know I would have needed it before! She sent me a pre-typed message with all the relevant instructions. I should have been provided this information immediately after I gave them my arrival time and they knew I would need it. The staff was not helpful, not available and not friendly. There were dust-bunnies and hair clumps in the room. The bed's headboard was worn and ripped up. Furthermore, it was very hot and the air-conditioning in the room did not work; it was blowing warm air and very weakly. It was not comfortable. The "included breakfast" was simply a small cappuccino and one croissant/pastry - nice to have, but not very substantial. I would not recommend this property based on this experience.

Centrally located near all the restaurants. Convenient shuttle service to and from airport at very reasonable price. Clean room with good air conditioning which is important for Italy in July. Helpful staff and free breakfast in a local cafe.

I was able to access room early. Comfortable bed. Very clean.

Broken shower head. Booked transfer to airport for 10.55 which didn't arrive. No Staff around to help. Only another guest who was also waiting for transfer. No Staff at reception until 4ish. Receptionist seemed disinterested (perhaps having a bad day). Nowhere to sit except on bed. Bright area with table and chairs behind Reception but notice saying 'Staff only''.

This property is safe, in a great location & the staff are fabulous! Very helpful & accommodating team! Highly recommend this guesthouse for an overnight stay close to the airport.

It would have been helpful to have a glass or cup in the room in the event you need a drink of water to take medication.

Not the smoothest arrival and a very light “breakfast.”

The room was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable for a short stay. The location is convenient if you’re flying in or out of Fiumicino, and the self check-in via lockbox worked fine once we received the code.

The shuttle service mentioned in the listing wasn’t available past 9pm, which we only found out after multiple messages. We had clearly stated our flight arrival time (21:10) at the time of booking, so it was disappointing that no proactive info or support was given until we followed up repeatedly. Communication around transport and late check-in was vague and slow, which made arrival unnecessarily stressful. Also, breakfast was just a coffee and a pastry from a nearby café — more of a “bed and snack” than a proper B&B.

Terrible because complete ignoring of our situation by hotel rep.

Our train to Rome Terminiwas 2 hours late and we came to hotel later than expected. I sent msg to hotel rep. and he sent to me self check-in instructions using the Masterlock box and code. I was not able to open the box using the code when we arrivided to hotel door at 11:40 PM. I tried several times and send msg to the hotel rep. with no answer. We came to the Le Moko restaurant and and asked waiters to help us to call the hotel rep. He and the couple sitting there thied to call and help us with no success. I came back and tried to open box again. And only at about 1:00AM somehow I opened it and got the keys. In those critical situation several people tried to help me but hotel rep. didn't return the call and didn't help.

Practical, high-quality solution in central Fiumicino.

My room was markedly comfortable, well-lit, and well-equipped. Despite being within walking distance from the town's centre and main street, the Guesthouse made for a quiet and restful night. Staff was exceedingly kind and keen to help. Excellent, reasonably priced shuttle service to the airport.

As I was travelling with rather heavy luggage, the rather steep staircase and lack of a lift didn't make for ideal accessibility.

The location, availability to spread out in "common area", ease of key system, how quickly the AC cooled the room, convenience to food, beverage, restaurants, bars, grocery store and THE PRICE. Those things we could not have asked for better.

Tremendously looking run down as a first impression. Did not know to use intercom system to communicate with front desk employee. Entry was unappealing. Considered lucky to be on lowest floor.

I was asked to pay on arrival. Then I entered the room and I found the roller shutter broken. The strap had been looped onto the window’s knob in order to hold the roller shutter. As soon as I lifted the strap to have a view from the window the roller shutter fell down and could not be lifted anymore. I informed the receptionist immediately. I was not offered any refund or compensation and was told no room change was possible as all rooms were occupied. The receptionist could not suggest any solution other than remain in that room having already paid the whole amount. The owner was never reachable a sort of ghost management and I have not heard from them since. The cleaner was smoking e-cigarette in the reception area. Stairs to reach the rooms not convenient for a mum with two children, a suitcase and a pram.

Good value option for a night in Fiumicino

Good location in Fiumicino. Friendly staff allowed us to change rooms so that we had a view of the river. Plenty of good restaurants about. Room was small but we were only there for one night and looking for an economical option. We will be back.

It is nothing to do with this specific property but Taxis from the airport to Fiumicino village have become unreasonably expensive and while our hotel had links with a shuttle service,it can be a long wait. We need more options for transfers from the airport to Fiumicino village. I dare not mention the Uber option on which the politicians seem to have caved in to the vested Taxi interests.

Comfortable and clean

Perfect for one night near Fiumicino airport. It’s right on the main street, full of restaurants and cafes. The room is not very spacious but clean and it has everything one might need.

There’s no lift and the rooms are upstairs, so the luggage needs to be carried up one flight of stairs. Also earplugs can help.

Location and staff were great, our flight was too early to enjoy the mandatory breakfast included in the price, no option for no breakfast price. Also too early for shuttle, but staff arranged a taxi for us.

Would have loved to be able to make a cup of tea or coffee! Boiler stolen apparently, but there was no sign of a cup or mug anywhere.

OK, but not worth the price paid

Clean, basic, accessible to the airport if you have an early morning flight. Customer service was good - helped with directions, getting an early morning taxi to airport, helped me with my bags up the stairs. Bed comfortable. Plenty of restaurants nearby for dinner. Provided a kettle to make a cup of tea.

Rather basic - fluffed up - room does not look like the picture. Lots of stairs to get to place. Price should have been much cheaper for what you get.

Noisy stay in Rome

Instructions were clear on how to access the property

The walls are paper thin. From about 5.30 am, the constant sound of what seemed like a water pump kept us wide awake!. Also the owner texted us in advance the day before checking in to know what time we would be checking out,we told them we would be gone by the mandatory check out time if 10am.

For a sleep close to the airport it was a great option!

The room was great for what we needed and we also had a wonderful dinner at a restaurant not too far away called Ristorante Miranda (highly recommend). The airport shuttle was right on time and very convenient.

However, we were advised that the breakfast (served at a nearby cafe) was available from 6:30am. As our flight was early morning, we were there at 6:29am ready to have a cup of coffee and something to eat and we waiting until 6:45am, but it was definitely closed and not a soul around. So that was disappointing.
