We stayed 5 nights.The owner is a very pleasant and helpful . The facility is not that new. Noise insulation not that good. The bed was ok,, could use some improvement though. It was a wooden bed with an iron head frame.. the pillows fine. Wc nice. and clean. The breakfast was good . The nearby bus stop was a 4-5 minute walk. The bus passes every approx 20 minutes. Usually accurate if you follow the local bus app. It takes 20- max30 minutes to get to historical centre. We rent a car for 2 days. The neighborhood was quiet, safe and very convinient for our day trips to toscan. the parking was easy, right out of the. house. The garden looked nice, never used it though. We used the. Heating one night, worked fine
In the shower there was only shampoo, not shower gel.
An advise for the bus line: the day we checked out the bus didnt pass according to schedule. aEvery 5 minutes the arrival delayed. The taxi call center did not respond. We were forced to walk to the next stop with the luggages. No bus there also.. i ordered taxi from the local taxi app. Fortunately came on time to catch our train 3 minutes before departure. It was sunday morning. Not sure if the bus schedues differ on sundays or it was sthg unexpected. Nevertheless, a problem of public transport, not of the hotel

Elena is a fabulous host with a beautiful house and garden. The room was lovely with a nice big bathroom that had a very roomy shower. Breakfast was lovely, Elena cooks very good over easy eggs and we had a selection of fruit and pastries each day along with yoghurts, cereals and bread. The garden is perfect for relaxing after an exhausting day exploring Florence. It is a little far from the centre if you don't like walking, but there are buses a few minutes walk away that go to various areas of the city and also to the station.
The only slight down side is that there are not many shops/restaurants in the area but it is nice to have a stroll after eating so this isn't really a problem.

The kitchen.
Bed was really hard and made me sore. A lot of dogs barking. Long walk from Florence
