Cool hostel, a bit on the commercial side

Social vibe, very nice outside area with hammocks. The pool was nice and it was very close to the beach. They have a lot of events, however beware all of them include drinking, which is not really my thing.:) They offer a scooter lesson and a rental.

It was honestly a bit pricy for what you really get - just because there you also pay for drinking water, all events… You also pay for clean sheets or towels even if you’re there for a longer time. Just beware, among these things it’s a nice hostel.

Social

Very social, the hostel has something happening every night (pub quiz, buffet, paint n sip etc). Pool is really nice and the grounds of the hostel is beautiful. Right beside the beach too

One Thai man who worked there wouldn’t let me check out or return my passport to me 10 mins before reception was open even though my transfer was also waiting for me at reception. Was very rude

Great social hostel! A little expensive but overall worth it.

The hostel is 2 minutes walk from the ocean, the chilling area was great with a pool, pool table, lots of space to hangout. It’s a social hostel with lots of activities and it’s easy to meet people. We also did the 4 islands tour organized by the hostel and it was a great experience! The staff was very nice & helpful. We even had a problem with our scooter and they came to rescue us. Overall I really recommend this place!

The mattress are super hard. The showers aren’t great but it does the job.

Great hostel, perfect for travellers who like a communal vibe

Great atmosphere/ community, events every night, close to the beach and has a full arsenal of facilities.

No curtains on the beds (I like a little privacy) and the bathrooms were a little on the unclean side, but that’s just me being picky

Good hostel to socialize and meet new people.

Staff was rude af, One sink for 6 people, AC got turned off during the day, so it's way too hot in the room until 6pm.

Especially the staff is amazing!! (Dani, Gee, Boss, Shannon) they are so helpful and create a nice welcoming vibe. The rooms are very clean and the food at the restaurant is good too. I met a lot of awesome people here 10/10

Great chill social hostel

Great social but chill hostel, easy to meet people. Right next to the beach she few mins walk from stores and bars. Rooms were always clean.

It is quite jungley so quite a few bugs often around the sink and shower areas.

One of my favourite social hostels

Really loved this hostel! Firstly, the common area is really spacious with a bar, pool, firepit, hammocks, and easy access to the beach. The dorms are spread out in bungalows which is really nice, and your bed is made and rooms cleaned daily. The best thing about this hostel is the staff and the events. It’s really social without being an over the top party hostel, and the pub quiz/music bingo are really fun. Vanessa was great, and so was the manager.

The beds aren’t very comfy and there aren’t curtains on them, which could be improved.

Loved it, favourite hostel I’ve stayed at.

The best hostel vibe I’ve come across - very sociable and easy to meet people, with lots organised but it really didn’t feel forced. It’s very chilled so you can attend events if you want or nots A really good communal hang out / bar space. Right near the beach.

Only negative at all is I wished there were curtains on the bed for privacy.

Fun, social and relaxing

It was probably one of the nicest social hostels I’ve stayed at in Southeast Asia! It didn’t have a crazy party vibe but still had lots of fun activities and opportunities to party/meet people. The pool was great and the beach was so close for sunsets! There was also a super lovely chill hangout zone and the dorms were really cute. 6 beds in a little cabin with 2 toilets. Such a good set up! They also have motorbikes for hire, which is great because you need them to get around Koh Lanta.

You can only pay in cash, which sucks with Thailand’s expensive ATM fees but also quite standard for accomodation on the Thai islands.

Amazing!!

The best hostel I stayed in in South East Asia! Really nice vibe and people, the events each night we so fun. It’s right on the beach and you can rent scooters from the hostel to get around the island. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming back!

A must-stay in koh lanta!

such a good hostel, the staff are fab, the pool is great, and the rooms are really lovely. social but not too ‘party’, lots of activities to get involved with - overall a great vibe! defo recommend booking the the boat tour, was one of my favourite days in Thailand!

Amazing Hostel!

Amazing hostel if you want to chill out, meet people and/or party! It's got loads of stuff to do, cheap scooter rental and is only a two minute walk from the beach. Both the local staff and reps are friendly and helpful, and they organise great social events. The dorms are also very clean, comfortable and secure. The shared toilets outside the 6-bed dorms smelt a little bit at points but this was likely just due to the heat and high use during peak season. They were otherwise very clean.

Passport as a deposit?

A nice area with a big common area, hammocks and cute little bungalows. The rooms are cozy, clean and with lockers. The beach is couple of minutes away.

The keep for the deposit the passport, which is a absolute No-Go for me! The prices for transfers/taxis are more expensive then in the town.

overall excellent!

breakfast was included (7am-10am) just some fruit and bread. easy place to make friends and lots of common area to hang out and chill. I went with my friends and we got put in the same room. loved that there were 2 bathrooms in the room. aircon turns off 11am-6pm but that’s also a perk as it kinda forces us to go out and leave the room to go explore. beach is walking distance and you’re on the main road when you go out. rented a scooter from the hostel directly for 200 baht per day. good value for money!

Great place to stay if you’re a solo traveller, hostel has a big social area where it’s easy to meet people. Good location to lots of bars and restaurants too. Motorbikes are the best way to get around Koh Lanta and they offer very good rate to hire at the hostel as well as excursions and onward travel arrangements for good prices

Minor criticism is I would prefer if the beds in the dorms had a curtain for more privacy but I’m aware lots of hostels are like this

really close to the beach

the hostel closed down for a few days on the day that I left. but the day before that they already stopped renting motorbikes, laundry and they didn’t arrange transport anymore. apart from the beach there are few things to do in walking distance from the hostel the airconditioning in the rooms turns off during the day and there is no shared area with airconditioning so during the day there is no possibility to be in an air conditioned space

Great time staying at Blanco Lanta

The lounging area, being super close to the beach, able to rent bike and book tours from the receptionists and having a great free light breakfast plus available filtered water refill.

Staff seemed to be over worked and tired at times, that made them being less flexible. Higher than expected drink prices.

Best hostel so far i’ve stayed at!

So social!!! Everyone who goes there is lovely! Met so many amazing people and everyone’s getting into the traveling spirit! Staff accommodating and friendly. Beach is a stone throw away. They serve food all day which was nice and is perfect when you want to have a chilled one. Nice that the rooms had multiple bathrooms and good locker space. Towels provided and laundry on site! Scooter rental so easy and efficient too- honestly best place i’ve stayed! Don’t expect perfection as it’s not a 5 star place but the vibe, atmosphere and ability to do exactly what you want is what makes it so great!

Bring bug spray, make sure you check what goes in and comes out of the laundry as they misplaced a few items of mine (by mistake!), the shower / toilet all in one so prepare for that!

Fantastic!

Brilliant hostel. Such a cute place - lots of outdoor seating and hammocks to hang out on. Rooms were really clean and cleaners did such a good job of coming in each day and cleaning. Nice and social too.
