Mr Yim is a great host!

Mr Yim was very helpful and showed us where everything was in the room. The room was clean and had everything we needed. We woke up to bottles of water and food packages every morning. We also rented a bike from Mr Yim and had no problems with this and used money as a deposit. He also showed us how to ride as we had not driven one before. Mr Yim was very helpful when we were leaving and took us to the transfer spot and kindly carried my bag for me and made sure it was on our transfer.

Mr Yim made us feel right at home! He made our stay at Koh Lanta really fun and easy. We got great help booking trips, a motorbike and transportation. The property is nicely renovated, clean and has everything you need. We even received water and sticky rice daily! The location is also great. I would like to come back again someday! We will miss this place.

Great month-long stay!

Mr Yim was great and handled everything I needed, including laundry and transport. Some examples of his excellent service: I arrived late the first night, and he offered to drive me out to have dinner. I had to bring my luggage to Klong Khong to join up with a group of friends for a couple of nights, and he took me on his scooter for free. He provided bottled water every day, and would often also give me food. I would highly recommend staying here.

A great place to enjoy your stop along the way

Mr. Jim was the best host you could imagine. He brought bananas and amazing mango sticky rice in the morning, just because he wanted to. When I left my passport by accident, he went out of his way to get it back to me. He can arrange all kinds of activities for you and offers better services than other drivers. And aside from all of that, he is a great guy.

Great Host

The place was clean, comfortable and well located. There are lots of good options for food nearby and the beach is a short walk away. Mr Yim looked after us through our full stay and provided us with coffee and a breakfast treat every morning! Mr Yim also helped us to rent scooters, book a boat trip to neighbouring islands near Koh Lanta and with a taxi for our boat trip (it was actually cheaper to book with him so I recommend this).

Very clean and comfortable with a friendly host.

The owner, Yim, was very helpful and welcoming. He left water and breakfast each morning. My suitcase was broken and he kindly took it to get fixed as well as took me to the port. The room was clean and bed comfortable was perfect for a few days stay. I would recommend staying at this property.

Great value for money - clean

Such a great Value for money place. For just 16 euro per night you get a renovated room with very nice AC which was also very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The host was helpful and we could arrange everything we needed through him. We got a motorbike for 250 baht/day and 3000 baht deposit. We also booked Phi Phi islands day trip through him for 1500 baht/person (although I think you can find it for less). You can literally plan your whole stay as soon as you're there so don't be stressed at all! The beach is just a 10 mins walk, there are many nice local restaurants within walking distance and there are a few mini markets as well. 7/11 isn't within walking distance.

The door of the room is just a transparent sliding door, so you always need to have the curtain on, otherwise you are seen from outside. This made the room very dark and didn't give you the island vibe at all. I wish the room had been lighter. There was no hot water in the shower and toilet paper was too little.

Great spot with an awesome location, right next to long beach. Room was comfortable and clean, great value for money. Mr Yim was super helpful and really went out his way to organise what we needed.

Loved our stay!

Loved it here! Perfect location (5 mins from Long beach which is stunning), lovely rooms, Mr Yim is sooo helpful and kind! Daily housekeeping however the cleaner did sometimes forget to empty our bin or replace our shower gel (I'd recommend they replaced the tiny shower gel bottles with one big bottle!!!!) Mr Yim even bought us fresh watermelon! We rented a car through Mr Yim one day which was really easy. We had to provide a passport and all was smooth (other than the car company picking up the car an hour late). We also arranged our boat to Phi Phi through Mr Yim which was super convenient, and he let us have late checkout so we could use the room until we got picked up!

Perfect stay on Koh Lanta

We had the best stay during our trip to Koh Lanta. Mr Yim gave the best hospitality I’ve ever received. We received fresh fruit daily and some mornings received sticky rice for breakfast. He even helped my boyfriend who had a sore blister on his foot. He was very helpful organising a scooter and sightseeing trips for us to the Phi Phi Islands. The rooms were modern, amazing aircon, awesome wifi and a short scooter ride away from the beach and pubs/restaurants. We would 110% stay here again. Great value for money. Thanks for a great stay 🙂

Nice and simple place to stay, only 10 mins walk from the nearest beach with a great owner Mr. Yim.

The place is very simple but nice, quite and clean. It gives great value for its price. There is only about 10 mins nice walk to the nearest beach, which was absolutely fascinating. The owner was at our disposal practically all day and he arranged everything we asked for. My friend had a birthday and they decorated our room for that day and made our evening really pleasant.

Comfortable, modern and cheap rooms, perfect to explore the island.

Very clean rooms, recently renovated. There is everything you need: aircon, a comfortable mattress, chairs, a table and even a kettle and a fridge for a very good price. The hotel is 5 minutes walking distance to the beach. Yim, the owner, is very funny and always ready to help. He booked for us a scooter and also the speedboat to Phuket, which was cheaper than online with free pickup. He also gave us fruits, I can only recommend this place.

There is no common areas so it's not for people who want to stay all day in their hotel/room.

I enjoyed my stay very much. I felt very comfortable in the room and in the place. There was everything available that was needed. Mr. Yim was always available and provided fruits and small rice desserts. He was always helpful and took care of everything organizational. I can only recommend a stay at Lanta Smile Inn!

Modern hotel in a great location

Modern hotel in a great location. Check-in was very smooth - we were greeted with a smile and offered help with anything we needed (bike rental, tranfers etc.). The room was very well presented, clean and well equipped. The airconditioning was powerful, which we very much appreciated in the heat! The friendly host checked in on us daily and is generally around the property when you need anything, even providing us with fresh watermelon on many occasions! We especially loved the location because it is close-by everything you need, including restaurants and the beach. You can rent a bike for a good price and drive to the quieter parts of Lanta if you wish. I would definitely return.

If you are after complete privacy, I probably wouldn't recommend as there is generally someone hanging around the property. This wasn't a big issue for us, as it meant the host was always available for any queries.

Great stay

I had a really pleasant stay. The owner Mr Yim is the kindest and brought me watermelon on arrival. Everything was clean, I felt self and secure, close to restaurants and the beach, couldn't ask for anything more. I only stayed for 1 night but would definitely come back!

Fabulous stay in Koh Lanta!!

Mr Yim was the most amazing host we have ever had the pleasure to meet! On arrival, we had fresh bottled water in the fridge, coffee and teas, toiletries and the room was immaculate and so clean. Mr Yim couldn't have done anything more for us. He helped us out with everything from scooter rental, laundry, extra supplies, wind clips! He brought us sticky rice with coconut wrapped in banana leaves or a fresh fruit bowl (straight from the trees)in the mornings for breakfast and was just one of the kindest people we have ever met. Pop the housekeeper thoroughly cleaned our room every 3 days including changing the bed and was very sweet and helpful too. The location is perfect! It is a few minutes walk across the road to the Long Beach which is the most beautiful beach on the island in our opinion. it is also very close to many restaurants and shops but tucked away from any noise. We hired a scooter for at least a week and explored the entire island and found this location the best. It is a 10 minute drive to Saladan which is busy and about 30 mins to the far southern beaches which were peaceful and pretty. We had a wonderful time at Lanta Smile Inn and were sad to leave today. We will definitely be returning when we visit Thailand again. 5***** and thank you Mr Yim!!

Great month in Lanta Smile Inn

We spend a month in Smile Inn and had a great time thanks to the team. The owner has helped us every time that we needed something : laundry, scooter, booking snorkeling day, taxi... The cleaning staff was also nice and friendly. The location was ideal, we could go in the North or South of the Island very easily. The beach was at 5 min. We hope to come back soon.

Good private rooms with aircon, a fridge and private bathroom, mesh over bathroom windows to prevent bugs. Not too far from the beach and good places to eat. Manager is helpful with arranging ferry or scooters
