Excellent value for a stopover visit to Utrecht, within close proximity of station for quick access to Amsterdam

Comfortable and clean, great location in the centre of Utrecht and close to the main railway station - great value for money

Storage/luggage space quite limited - and my keycard didn’t work for the small amount of storage we were given

Good location, the bed was good.

location is good, bed was comfort. So far no bbig issues.

Only the bunk was shared by male and female, maybe can split at least female, male zone would be great. Also the bathroom.

Perfect if NS mess with you

Very close to the station, very clean, very comfortable bed and pillows, the shampoo conditioner and soap are also very good and the staff is warm and friendly even in the middle of the night!

It was a little hot in the pod with no way to make air enter with the curtain closed but it’s not a major issue

I did not even stay the night yet they made me pay.

The staff tried to help, but promises ended up being fake.

I thought I booked a normal because on booking.com it showed a room with windows. It ended up being a pod that shared with other people. Since I was with my senior parents, this obviously was not an option. When I told this to the staff they said they cannot do anything and forced me to pay even if I had the flex booking. We ended up having to walk through the half the city and find another hotel at night. Really shows that the company cares more about the money than the customers…

Not perfect value, yet the atmosphere and location are great

Great location, especially for anyone attending events at TivoliVredenburg. The hotel has a unique atmosphere, enhanced by the fact that it’s located in a former church. The option for self check-in and check-out is a big plus and very convenient when there’s a line at the reception.

The room was really small, and for two people it can feel far too cramped and even claustrophobic. Using the bathroom was also challenging due to the limited space. Unfortunately, there was dust on the floor, and the room lacked a larger trash bin, which was quite inconvenient.

Very hip and in the center. I was actually surprised about how cool the co working space was.

It was kind of cold. The heater that worked was noisy.. luckily I don’t mind a cold room when I sleep

Second time staying here and slept well both times. Bathrooms very clean and nice showers. Good sized locker near bed. Communal area is very nice.

My bunk had a slightly broken curtain so let in light a little but not too bad.

Stylish, Clean, Convenient

This is one of the most beautiful hostels I've stayed in! Everything was so clean and stylish. The staff were really kind and helpful, and the breakfast (not included) was delicious. It reminded me of a modern capsule hotel in Tokyo. The building is an old cathedral, absolutely gorgeous.

Great hotel in a great location

The Bunk House is in a brilliant location. Less than 10 minutes from Utrecht Station and central to the shops, bars, restaurants and canals of Utrecht. Beautifully converted church with a great evening vibe and tasty a la carte breakfast.

The staff here are great. I got in on a Sunday and the resturant was so busy but everyone working made it look like a breeze. Really great spot. I've stayed before and will absolutely come back next time I'm in utrecht.

The hotel was not at all comfortable, though it was in a convenient location.

There was little choice at breakfast though the quality was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a convenient and reasonably quiet position.

The rooms were very poky, especially for 2 people, and there was nowhere to put clothes other than a couple of pegs. The wash basin was so small it was impossible to wash your face or clean your teeth without splashing on the floor. The bed was so high I had difficulty getting in as I'm quite short. I couldn't reach the shelves. There was no chair.

The Location ist very good, in terms of next to the train station. Self check in Service ist very easy, Loved that There is a huge space to work on the 2nd Floor with your Laptop, with charging Stations, Loved that.

wasn’t a fan of the food there. I ordered a Nordic Bowl, but it was just a bunch of ingredients thrown into a bowl—very pricey for what it was. If you’re looking for good food, I’d recommend going somewhere else. That said, I did try the bitterballen, and they were quite tasty—I have to admit! As for the sleeping arrangements, there were far too many sleeping capsules in one room. I barely managed to get any sleep. There was a small window from 1:00 AM to 6:00 AM when I could finally rest a bit, but it’s way too crowded. Naturally, there’s always someone coming or going, making noise and disturbing the peace.

Overpriced and technical glitches

It’s a decent location near the train station. There’s a cat that hangs out in the lobby.

The towel in the room was ripped up. Checking in and out is completely self service and didn’t work so we had to find staff, who were busy working the restaurant, to help. Checking out online also didn’t work. Luggage storage cost 8 euro.

Nice facilities, basic experience

The location, the bathrooms, the cleanliness and the space to sit down for work. The card system, which includes the locker too. The facilities in general, are very very nice. Number of showers and toilets. Great shampoo, soap and hand cream.

There was always light in the room. Sure, the pod has a good curtain but why not a button to turn off the light of the room during the night? No communal kitchen, just expensive food from the on-site restaurant. I saw a staff girl complaining to a woman from bringing food from outside. it was actually from the restaurant but in a box. The point is, you can’t bring food from outside. So, you either eat outside or have to eat at their restaurant. It is a massive hostal, I think in my room there were like 16 people, but I’ve been in bigger hostels with the option of brining and refrigerating your food, and this is an expensive hostel. Last but not least, the staff was just basic… you come and they tell you: this is your card and room, bye. You really have to push to get some info… like you feel your disrupting them as they answer and want to get back to their thing as quickly as possible. For an expensive hostel, you’d expect the staff will try to make you feel more welcomed and settled. I guess it comes down to this mentality here that you’ll figure it out on your own, but it’d be nice a little bit more of warmth… being so basic, and all the other stuff above leaves you with the sense of, why did I choose this one? I thought I read amazing reviews.
