Dolphin Watch

We have chosen this property because of its proximity to the ocean and the views. These were indeed fantastic. You need a car to go to either to Fanore or Doolin, some km away from pubs and shops. We took a ferry from Doolin to visit one of the Aran islands. Also Cliffs of Moher are within 30min drive. The property is clean, has a nice courtyard with parking space and nice flowers. You have access to the ocean, but there is no beach, only big stones. O'Donohue pub is great, high quality food, within 5min drive.

The main disappointment was the fact that the host did not communicate to us the instructions for entering the property and did not respond to our message and phone call on the day before checking in in and not even on the check-in day. We were really worried, fortunately the customer care of booking.com made contact with the host and then we received the instructions, just few hours before check in time. This has created a stressful situation for us and the host did not even apologized. Also, they showed zero flexibility on check-in and check-out time. We have not felt welcome, to the contrary. Also, the property is rather dated. There was no heating in the evening, which was not appropriate given the temperature outside of 14-15 degrees C. Other than the ocean, you can't walk anywhere in the neighborhood, you need to drive. I think there are better options in the area, we would not return.

Everything was perfect about this property from the exceptional warmth of Sheila the host to the spectacular view from the cottage. Cannot wait to return.

There was nothing about this property not to like.

Spacious, comfortable house with incredible view. Friendly manager and locals in Fanore for groceries and restaurant meals. The epitome of an Irish cottage by the sea. Can’t wait to go back with the family.
