Lovely cozy stay

The property was warm and cozy, very bright, and beautifully styled. The rooms were comfortable, and the countryside views were stunning. We had a very peaceful night’s sleep, even though it was very windy outside, we couldn’t hear it at all. The location was great, close to the local pubs.

The property didn't have a washing machine, given the location and the chance of a lot of rain, the opportunity to wash and dry our clothes would have helped especially with small children.

Seeing the seals on Inishmore was the highlight of an epic journey for our family.

The cottage is spacious and has everything you need. Two bathrooms and three bedrooms accommodated our group comfortably and the outside dining area has a breathtaking view of the Irish landscape. We walked to the cafe, pubs, restaurants, Cliffs of Moher and ferry to Inishmore.

We loved every minute of our stay in Doolin. And the cottage at Fairwinds felt like home.

Doolin gem

Peaceful and comfortable, newly designed cottage. 3 bedrooms all with double beds so suited our group of 3 adult travellers who all wanted their own room. Lovely outlook onto green fields. Short walk to two pubs where we enjoyed traditional music.

Quiet, convenient place with private parking

Lovely traditional but contemporary country property - looks like it is newly renovated. Very clean and neat. Although very near to pubs and restaurants, it’s really quiet and rural. Loads of outdoor space and plenty of safe private parking right next to the door for unloading.

A few little tweaks would have make it more comfortable including mirror in main bedroom near a plug socket, wardrobes (would have been essential for longer stay) and shelving in bathrooms. We were a party of 4 and the living room area didn’t have enough seating for us - we felt for a longer stay and with max capacity of 6 this would have been inconvenient. It would also have been nice to have a pint of fresh milk in the fridge on arrival.

Perfect Doolin location!

We had 3 couples and the property served us really well! Lots of space, newly remodeled, clean & comfortable. Great location. Bus stop outside the door!

Hard to find food supplies without a car. We had 6 coffee drinkers so a coffee maker would have been nice. The French press provided worked just fine fine…but a slower process.

Gorgeous little guest house behind the hosts home. It was quiet, clean, comfortable and a 2 minute walk from the restaurant/bar in town. Close drive to the cliffs. Wonderful hosts

Perfect stay for a group exploring Doolin

The Cottage-Fairwinds is a perfect place to stay to explore Doolin. Located very close to pubs and less than a ten minute walk to Hotel Doolin. It’s very comfortable, clean and had all you needed for a stay. Loved the outdoor furniture. Would highly recommend.

Property was lovely, very clean, and comfortable. We loved the back patio/ table with the beautiful countryside views. It was very quiet and peaceful but so close to downtown Doolin, you could walk to everything.

Lovely cottage in a good location

The cottage was lovely, modern & homely with nice decor. Beds were comfortable. It was perfect for a quick stopover to visit the Cliffs of Moher which were only a 10 minute drive away. Went to the local pub, McDermotts, food was good and it was a great atmosphere with the live music. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Simple, comfy and catered for everything we needed.

Location was unreal just a 2 minute walk from the 2 main pubs in Doolin. We attended a wedding at The Fiddle and Bow and it was so easy to walk home after. Took us roughly 8 to 10 minutes.

It is an extraordinary, cozy facility. The Two bathrooms were well equipped with good water pressure snd fluffy towels. Modern, extremely bright and great location. Friendly, responsive host Beds were comfortable and linen was fresh snd crisps.

The cottage was very clean, comfortable, and pretty. It was located very conveniently to town, but you still felt like you were out in the country. It was very peaceful. The hosts were very communicative and responsive. The towels and linens were all great. We loved the lighted mirrors in the bathrooms. They were great when getting up in the middle of the night, lol. We highly recommend staying at the the Fairwinds Cottage if you are going to Doolin.

The only amenity we could have used is a washer and dryer because it was in the middle of our trip and we had difficulty finding laundry service that we could do at night. This is not really something we didn't like, since we knew there wasn't a washer and dryer, but it is a perk that would have been great to have.

Weekend Break

we had a lovely stay here, the Cottage was so warm and cosy despite the storm outside. The Cottage is a 2 min walk to the local bars in Doolin and about a 5 min drive to FitzPatricks.

We would have preferred a later checkout 12pm but apart from that it was perfect.

The booking was for a group and here’s what we thought… I'd rate it 5*. Was very clean and well presented. Everything we needed was there. Lovely location, views and property. Would be amazing in the sunshine. Rating 5 for me , included accommodating help with returning my ear buds. From me too. Beautifully presented/kitted out. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed. A shame we weren’t there longer to enjoy the garden and the views….

Only comment was it was hard to find...the instructions were confusing as there are 3 properties which appear to be behind the Guest house itself...one in an adjacent drive, which made us miss the driveway we needed so might be worth them putting up a sign

Fairwinds cottage is spectacular

This property is stunning. It's bright, immaculately clean, crisp, and has everything you need. Private parking, an outdoor dining area, excellent WiFi, and the house is super warm.The owner, Ciara, has fabulous taste and has made this cottage into a stunning place to stay in the heart of Doolin.

This gorgeous house only went on booking last week, so far from a complaint and more of a recommendation, if I had to make one suggestion, it would be to put 2 single beds upstairs. Just for a family option, the double beds are fine, but slightly small for 2 teenagers sharing.
