Killilagh House Accommodation

The location of the apartment was great, only a few hundred meters from the main streets. It was comfortable with reasonable cooking facilities and plenty of towels, with good shower

Doolan itself is relatively spread out as a township. One of the priorities we had for spending a few days in Doolan was to experience first hand, the reputation as the centre of Irish traditional music. We certainly weren’t let down and Killilagh House was very well located to take full advantage as both McDermott’s and McGann’s Pub are both metres from the front door. If trad music is a draw card for you, then be sure to be at McDermott’s on either a Monday or Wednesday evening to hear Uilleann Pipe maestro, Blackie O’Connell and his bandmates when they pack the place out! The shower cubicle in our room at Killilagh House would have to be the narrowest I’ve ever experienced. Honestly, it was a challenge to lift my arms above my head. That said, it didn’t detract from the favourable location.

Close and convenient to Doolin and the cliffs of moher coastal walk. The hosts were so kind, gave us plenty of recommendations and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant.

We truly enjoyed our stay here. The owners are so kind and helped us out when we first arrived by picking us up in the rain when our bus dropped us off a stop too far. There was tons of space, the beds were comfy, it was peaceful and a walk to two pubs. Another perk that I loved was a lighted make-up mirror in the bathroom. We will be back!
