A family owned and operated luxurious self catering homes situated in the vicinity of the famous village of Doolin . The Wildberry Cottage sits on a private .75 acre site that affords privacy and convenient access to major attractions that Ireland has to offer. This property has hi spec fittings and furnishings and high level of comfort and cleanliness throughout. The owners - Frank and Marian Sheedy - live nearby and are always on hand to assist in any way to make sure that their guests have a really successful holiday. Very clean, good range of kitchen equipment, crockery and towels. Beds comfy and shower/ bathrooms were all good. Had beautiful views from the lounge. Picture on front page of Vrbo was misleading as house is not that big, a wide angle lens must have been used. Only one living room and combined dining room, space bit tight when we were all together . Generally a very good accomodation but where is the outside hot tub that was advertised?

My adult daughter's first impression was that it was a bit too remote, but she came around to my point of view that it was just about perfection. Only 10 minutes from Doolin, 20 minutes from the Cliffs of Moher and Ennistymon's great grocery store and 30 minutes from both Lahinch and the main attractions in the Burren, I found it to be as central a location as one could find in that part of rural Ireland. And Galway was only 1.5 hours away. It was an ideal house for the 6 adults and 2 children, with the bedrooms and baths convenient for all. The carpeted floors upstairs helped keep the house quiet. Frank and Marian were wonderful hosts, getting us reservations at McDermott's pub for dinner and music. The front picture window framing an unobstructed view of the Aran Islands was always a joy to behold. I would love to return someday.

Simply stunning location near the Burren and Cliffs of Moher. Remote and private enough to be able to enjoy the peaceful nature of the area, but less than a 10 minute drive down the road to Doolin and just a few more minutes to the Aran Island ferries and he Cliffs. The house itself was very clean and well appointed and we made use of the outdoor grill a few times. It was surprisingly spacious and was perfect for our group of seven, including one small child. The front room and front yard has incredible views of the Aran Islands and Atlantic Ocean which we will never forget.

This was a beautiful home not far from Doolin! We did enjoyed our long stay here! The town itself is a hike by foot but just a few minutes by car! It’s the perfect landing spot after taking day trips! Would stay here again if we were to come back to this area! Bring your camera!

My husband and I and two of his siblings spent a week at Wildberry cottage. We loved it! It is spacious yet cozy and the view of the countryside is lovely. It is 3 miles from Doolin so most people would need a car. My brother-in-law and I walked a lot eating blackberries from the roadside as we went. The roads are narrow though and might not be comfortable for some as cars (not many) go fairly fast. I would definitely come back!!!

We stayed at this property for 3 days as part of our Ireland tour and had a wonderful time. The property is very close to the cliffs of Moher and ferries to the Aran islands, perfectly situated for the best of Clare County. The views from the lounge are stunning and you get a front row seat of the sunset over the Atlantic and Aran Islands. You are right in the middle of the Burren National park, you won’t get bored of the view wherever you look. Our dog loved the walks and the garden. Our hosts looked after us incredibly well and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Loved flicking through the guest book dating back to 2008, full to the brim with messages of gratitude from adventurers all over the world. Thank you for having us Marion.

The house is beautiful, very comfortable, clean and well equipped with everything you need for a most pleasant stay. We particularly appreciated its location in an elevated spot with see view and surrounded by the fascinating landscape of the Burren. The view from the large west window facing the see is extraordinary, especially around sunset. Lying on the large comfortable sofa in the sitting room while looking at the charming ever changing landscape was a real treat! Marion was very kind and ready to fullfil our requests. The near village of Doolin is very pretty and a walk on the cliff of Moher path is worth the voyage. We would recommend a visit to the near small towns of Ennis and Ennistymon besides walks on the Burren paths.

Our family really enjoyed the property, which was perfectly appointed for our stay. We were grateful for the Sheedys' willingness to allow us a half-week stay at last-minute due to our hotel reservation in Woodstock being cancelled on us due to unforeseen issues on the part of the hotel. We appreciated views of the ocean and the rural countryside. This would be a perfect escape for those looking to get out of the city, looking to experience the Irish countryside.

Lovely property

We had a very comfortable week renting this property. The views were totally stunning & we enjoyed exploring the area. There was plenty of room for us all & everything we needed in the kitchen, though we only cooked one big meal, Sunday roast, as there was too many nice places to eat out. Thank you Frank & Marian for such a lovely place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to Ireland, but our son & his irish girlfriend got engaged on this holiday in Doolin so it hopefully won't be our last trip.

We had a relaxing and refreshing stay in this beautiful and impeccably maintained home. We loved the gorgeous scenery from every window and enjoyed walking around in the scenic location. The owners were very helpful and we hope to be back and stay in one of their properties again soon. We had a few trips into Doolin and became huge fans of Russell’s Fish Shop. Also loved the beach at Spanish Point and the town of Lahinch, especially the coffee and bakery items at Dodi Cafe. The kids are hoping to come back in the summertime and try some surfing!

My wife and I stayed at the Wildberry Cottage for 10 days at the end of July and the beginning of August. This was the best home rental we have ever had on a vacation hands down. The home is wonderful and has plenty of room. The views from the living room are spectacular and we had a lot of fun watching the cows roam around in the back and side yards. The cottage has all kitchen utensils you would need and stocked with plenty of towels, pillows, blankets, and some toiletries as well. Check In was extremely easy and upon arrival Frank stopped by to show us how to operate some of things around the house that some out of the country visitors may not know how to use. Frank and Marian own a B&B in the village of Doolin and we stopped by multiple times to ask questions about places to go, sites to see, and where to shop and every time we dropped in Marian took plenty of time to stop what she was doing and chat with us and show us where to go using maps and really just answering any questions we had.The Wildberry Cottage is truly a special place so if you are on the fence about booking do not hesitate to book now, you will not regret it.

Really easy to find using the eircode. Very quiet location, and great view over to the Aran Islands (also easily accessible from Doolin pier only a few miles away). The property has everything you need and a stone bbq if you get the weather. A local hare used to visit the driveway in the mornings. The local pubs do good food and Guinness - personal favourite was McGann’s as it is quieter than others. You do need a car to get places, but the roads are quiet if a bit narrow. Would recommend Fanore beach for bathing, but get there early as the car park is not big.

The owners, Frank and Marian were great. They helped with planning prior to our arrival and while we were visiting. Arrival and departure were very easy. The house is very close to Doolin so easy to get into town and to tour the general area. We took a taxi back and forth to town at night so we could enjoy the pubs. The pubs have great food and music. Our stay was in March so we had to vary our plans a bit based on the daily weather but it all worked out well. I would happily recommend this home.

Our family of 7 had a wonderful vacation at Marian & Frank's property. And although it served as a great 'home base' to work out of as we visited many great destinations, truth be told is that their home, Wildberry Cottage, played a major factor in how much we we enjoyed our time in Ireland. The property is beautiful and welcoming and lent itself to good conversations, family-bonding time and relaxation. Galway Bay views were stunning from the front as were the stone walls and green grass views from the side of the house and the back yard. And because we visited in late November, we were rewarded with a glowing, warm fire in the woodburning stove as the winds howled at night (kinda' romantic if we could have ditched the kids!) Wildberry Cottage is cozy, peaceful and well kept. The proprietors, Marian & Frank couldn't have been any kinder. Thank you for the wonderful memories you've made for my family. Your suggestions were helpful and we appreciate your recommendation on celebrating our Thanksgiving at McGann's Pub. We couldn't have celebrated the holiday with nicer folks. Thank you. Thank you. This beautiful house was a perfect place for my family to stay over the Christmas holiday. The house was set with everything we needed. We loved having a warming fire going every day. Doolin is a great location to check out the surrounding area. It's just a quick drive into town with some amazing pubs that had great music every night. Even in the off season, Doolin had plenty to see and do. Marian and Frank were super responsive and helpful with all of our requests and questions (plus the baked goods when we arrived were amazing!). We definitely hope to be back again!

House was comfortable with amazing views of water, cliffs, green fields and cows and beautiful sunsets. Very quiet street with occasional horseback riders going by. Marian our host was very kind and attentive. She even stayed on the phone with us when we got lost until we found the right street. Be sure to put longitude and latitude into a GPS and you won’t have that problem.

We had a lovely week in gorgeous county Clare and were made to feel very welcome by Frank and Marian. Lovely scones and wheaten bread to welcome us. The house is well laid out with plenty of books, jigsaws, games and DVDs to keep us busy during the rainy moments (there were a few). Great for cycling and walking which we all enjoyed. Good day surfing in Lahinch. Thanks for a perfect week, we will definitely revisit county Clare.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at frank and Marians cottage. It is very nicely fitted out with especially comfortable beds and pillows and has a very well equipped kitchen. It is a great layout in general with two downstairs bedroom, one of which was perfect for my elderly father. The kids loved the grounds to run around in and play football. The highlight for us (in great weather) were the spectacular sunsets into the sea every night that you can see from the front of the house. Only small thing I would recommend are some cosy throws for the sofa, especially as the evenings get a little cooler. It can be very breezy up on the hill but windows are very sound. Marian and Frank were very nice to deal with and had plenty of recommendations of things to do and places to visit. I’d highly recommend this cottage with easy access to lisdoonvarna and Doolin. This was our 6th. trip staying in Doolin. We have now stayed in Wildberry Cottage twice. This cottage is BEAUTIFUL and has all the comforts of home. Frank and Marian have decorated this cottage as if it were their own home. The kitchen is in need of nothing. EVERYTHING you would want is there. I don’t really want to write this as I would prefer to keep this as my secret favourite place but that would be unfair on Frank and Marion who are the best hosts. The house is a home from home, spotless beautiful, everything you need is there. Nothing can prepare you for the beauty of the land , to explore and discover the burren is an enchantment. The icing on the cake is to look from the front room window as the sun sets over the sea and you can see the twinkling lights of the Isles of Aran, breathtaking. It makes my heart soar to think of it and that is why I return every year .

We rented the cottage with another couple in early June 2017. It looked beautiful online but we had no clue that it was so much more than advertised. Beautiful, comfortable, sweeping views to the ocean and the Burren, convenient to town and anywhere else you want to go in that part of Ireland. (And so much nicer than my house!) And visit eckotree knitwear a short drive away for some of the loveliest knitted goods you ever will see,
