The staff was phenomenal and the facility was beautiful. They let us store our luggage when we got there early and also at checkout so we could enjoy our day in Venice before departure that evening. The complimentary breakfast was the best we had during our entire two week vacation.

Start to finish was excellent. The staff were responsive, polite, helpful and full of joy. On our arrival they recommended a restaurant where we could get a quick lunch, their recommendation couldn't have been better! When we needed water taxi's they arranged them, more coffee for the room - no problemo! The breakfast was fantastic, especially as they have gluten free bread available and vegan options! We were fortunate enough to have a room overlooking a canal, watching the activity on the water was a bonus, just in case you are thinking there was a noise issue it was not. We didn't get bothered by any noise at all. The location was perfect for us. We knew Venice would be busy and wanted accommodation which was out of the way, more of a retreat and the bonus was if we got a water taxi they'd open up the throttle once out on the open water!

The sofa bed was metal action, which was of good quality, but there was quite an uncomfortable bar, so a minimal dislike and not one which would prevent us returning or recommending the hotel.

Nice quiet area

We got a Junior Family Suite for our stay. The description says it’s a split level room. The photo also showed a bathtub. Our room was not split level and the bathroom had no bathtub. The shower was also extremely tiny (I would hit my elbows when I shower). When I asked why our room looked nothing like the description - we were told this was an alternative layout and that we should have requested for a bathtub to be given one. While I’m normally not so fussy, I would have appreciated if this alternative layout and tiny shower was accurately described in the main booking page so I would have known what we were really getting for a “junior family suite “. It felt very misleading and the explanation given by the front desk was unapologetic and almost condescending.
