Perfect place to stay

Everything was perfect! Hosts were great- room was nice and spacious and very clean. We were able to find a parking spot right out front so that was perfect. We had to leave early in the morning so since they were not able to provide breakfast they gave us some drinks for free that night.

The bed in the garden room was not the most comfortable and the pillows were difficult to make comfortable.

Very good stay close to the city boundaries

Very clean, everything very new. We were welcomed by the owner (I suppose) and his son (I guess). Two very nice guys, who wanted to make sure that everything was OK. The house itself seems to be very new or recently renovated, the room was extremely clean, very good shower, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was very good, with fresh fruits, croissants, fresh orange juice, etc. The location is a bit outside the town, takes approximately 20 min. to the city center, but it was not a problem for us, as we are used to walk. I parked my car on the street, no problem at all, it seemed to be a very calm neighborhood. In summary, great stay.

Pleasant stay in Mechelen

We stayed for a short break in Mechelen. The property has been very well renovated throughout and we had a comfortable room at the back of the house with a lovely spacious bathroom. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and well-presented. The house is in a residential area about 20mins walk from the old town centre. The host lent us bikes to use which meant that we could easily get to town in less than 10mins. We also went for a cycle along some of the traffic-free canal paths and around the lovely local park. The breakfast was plentiful and freshly prepared each morning. We also enjoyed a welcome bottle of beer. It is easy to travel to Antwerp and Brussels from the train station in Mechelen which is within walking distance of the house.

The property is a little further from the centre of town than we thought so it was great that the host was able to lend us a couple of bikes. If people are talking downstairs sound does carry up to the bedrooms. Perhaps this could be minimised by a door between the sitting area and the hallway. However there was no problem with noise during the night.

Wij vonden de kamers top , beneden was het gezellig en voelde direct vertrouwd aan. De fijne babbel met de zoon en zijn vriendin en met jou waren ook aangenaam. Het ontbijt was zeer goed , bedankt.

Negatieve opmerkingen waren niet aan de orde , zowel van ons of van ons bevriend koppel. Wij maken graag reclame hier in de westhoek indien wij horen dat vrienden naar Mechelen komen en een slaapgelegenheid zoeken.

Gezellige B&B in huiselijke sfeer

- Mooi ingerichte en verzorgde kamer met een heel goed, groot dubbel bed. - Badkamer met goede douche - Vriendelijke ontvangst - Uitgebreid en erg lekker ontbijt! Niets was te veel gevraagd

- Erg moeilijk om parkeerplaats te vinden in de omgeving. Erg smalle straatjes. - Onze dochter van 16 sliep op een veldbed en dit vond zij niet comfortabel. Kamer dus eerder geschikt voor twee personen ipv met een tiener erbij.

Ganz große Empfehlung!

Alles war wirklich toll! Der Besitzer ist super freundlich und sein Sohn wohnt mit seiner Frau auch im Haus. Das Frühstück wurde mit Liebe von ihm selbst zubereitet und der Joghurt was selbst gemacht. Das Zimmer war groß und alles neu gemacht.
