Everything was good

Everything about the hotel was good; Good location -very close to the train station, 10-15 minute walk from the city center-, good breakfast, good rooms and helpful staff. The lobby was also good to spend time and and always available coffee machines with free hot drinks is a really good idea.

Perfectly adequate & convenient for a short stay - I would stay here again, which says it all really

6-Digit code to access the rooms was great - with no magnetic card, this was the first time in years that I had not had to go down to a hotel reception at least once to complain that my room keycard no longer worked ! :-) Underground secure parking at the hotel was very convenient, but a pity that it was charged extra at 15 Euros per day on top of the room rate. Breakfast was good, albeit a little inconsistent (Saturday was the only time we had mushrooms, then Monday, there was no Bacon...). But overall it was fine - and it was "all you can eat" !! :-) The rooms were clean and well serviced - although quite small, with minimal storage space not much room around the bed(s). Bathroom was good, with a good-sized shower - although the floor of the shower was like an ice rink, with zero grip ! The bar in reception was very welcome and convenient - and it had a great deal while we were there, literally buy one, get one free on a couple of bottled beers ! With a party of 12, this made "buying a round" in the hotel really cheap !! lol

The AirCon didn't seem to work in the room (and we weren't the only one, it seems). It was pretty hot/humid for the time of year I guess, so we (and others) resorted to leaving and sleeping with the window open. This would have been fine, except for the plague of Mosquitos - so waking up on Saturday morning, I had been eaten alive during the night !! I counted no less than 52 mosquito bites on my arms, head/neck and one leg which must have been out of the bed covers ! This was really bad. The hotel could also do with at least one more member of staff on the reception/front desk : They were on their own and when anybody was checking in, it was impossible to get served at the bar or get anyone to deal with any enquires, because the one single member of staff was constantly occupied dealing with people checking in.

Amazing and stress free

The staff was friendly and helpful. Checking in and out went real fast. The parking facility is great and the rooms were very clean. We are definitely recommending this place to anyone who is interested in visiting Mechelen.

There was blood stain on the bed. I didn’t really feel safe. I felt like someone was trying to get in. Could hear the neighbours . The bathroom was leaking into the bedroom when i took a shower

Great location, good, clean, straightforward hotel.

Exceptionally clean and new. Room very good, everything works well as it’s so new. Breakfast was good and we liked having a coffee machine in the room. Efficient, friendly staff and good to have underground parking.

Building work next to the hotel created some noise disturbance, but only during work hours and this did not detract from having a good stay.

Lovely hotel

The room was superb. Lovely big , comfortable bed. Modern. Breakfast was continental but had a huge range of foods from meats and cheeses to cereals and fruit. Juices and teas and coffee. Staff were helpful and friendly. Plenty of paid for car parking for our motorcycles.

Its in a quiet part of the centre so had to walk to get to resturaunts.

Fresh and comfortable place to stay

The hotel has new installations, very fresh and comfortable. It has all the required amenities for a comfortable stay. The team is very friendly, educated and willing to help any time! I got a lot of tips from the lady in the front desk that helped me to visit the most beautiful places in Mechelen. Very close to the train station, only 10 min walking! You can reach the city center in 15 min by walk :) free coffee, tea and water any time in the main lobby.

Good value for money. Typical B&B style, clean and modern.

Room, location and parking was excellent. Breakfast had a good variety, however no gluten free or animal-free dairy were offered, which was a minus. Free coffeeand tea and cake offered during the day!

The public area (reception, bar and breakfast) was really small and functional therefore no so inviting for a stay outside the room.

Impossible to receive an official invoice. When travelling for the company, it's really ennoying. On request, the receptionist printed me a document "information invoice" but no real invoice. It's useless for accounting. A small fridge in the room would have been a plus.

Great value for money and they take sustainability seriously

It was comfortable, clean and quiet. What I loved was that they take sustainability seriously. When you put out the sign that you don’t want your room cleaned nor need any clean towels then they don’t do it. I have stayed in (too) many hotels where they did put in clean towels, regardlessly, and cleaned the room anyway. I liked to be heard in this. The location is perfect when you come by train: within easy walking distance from the station & easy walking distance to the city centre. The staff was invariably nice.

Not so much the hotel as other hotel guests, who just let their room door fall out of their hands with a bang instead of closing it quietly. The walls shook each time they did so. Luckily they only stayed 1 night (or learned how to close the door quietly) Another wish I have in all hotels: as I eat just a tiny breakfast (yoghurt with muesli & a cup of tea) it would be nice to be able to pay just for that instead of a full breakfast.
