Great place to stay while checking out Lake Maggione

Plenty space in the two bedroom apartment. The garden was magical. Parking was easy.

Romantic for those in love ❤️

Fantastic location with balcony overlooking the lake. You start to swim just across the road. Free parking just at the entrance. It is a historic building also with some ancient furniture. Very romantic!

Noisy road. As there is no AC - we had to keep the windows open. Kitchen is very tight.

Worst place in Italy

Absolutely nothing Extremely old, kitchen was dirty and my wife refused to use it. Furniture again was so bad that it needed covers to make it look better. It was cold at times but could not find any way to turn on heating.

If the weather is nice, a great place

A house with a glorious history, about ten minutes drive from the central town of Stresa. The rooms and the apartment in general are very spacious. There is a beautiful garden and the host is very kind and provides information about the surroundings. There are bicycles there that you can take and ride. The house is right on the lake and there is a nice promenade where you can walk.

During our stay it was very hot, the rooms are not air-conditioned and when you open the windows there is a noise of cars from the road. The internet was very weak and disconnected all the time.

it was really nice, and in a fantastic location super close to the water and access to a garden perfect to sit and read in or have dinner.

the bathroom floor was constantly wet, not sure if there was a leak or where the water was coming from but it was a little weird.

Super Casa at Lago Maggiore

Supercute hosts, big rooms, excellent view from the lakefront rooms, easy to access from the trainstation Beautiful garden The hotel is located in such a quiet town, i would recommend it to those who want to relax

We stayed at the hotel in April-May, when the rooms were a bit cold, and no heating was available, but we solved that with extra blankets :)

Touring report

The Casa is very well situated on the lakeside with beautiful shady gardens behind the aging villa buildings. Just down the road (accessible on foot with an aged mother in law) there is a hotel restaurant offering good trattoria standard fare in again a lakeside setting and across the road a trendy cafe which made a perfect breakfast joint.

My family were a little hesitant at first due to the vintage vibe of the place but agreed with me once they had stayed there that it was actually a very comfortable stopover on our touring route south from the Simplon Pass.

Exceptional

Beautiful palace with wonderful view at lake. It was great experience to eat breakfast or supper on balcony, looking at Lago Maggiore. About 10 minutes to train station and then also 10 minutes to Stessa by train. At apartment there was everything what is needed for comfortable stay.

all was perfect. Location premium at the lake Maggiore . Stylish building with beautiful apartment . Very helpful hosts. Apartment has all you need during stay. Lake view. Great garden on the back side of buiding. Like magic place.

DONT COME !!

View was acceptable.

Host was unnecessarily rude and horrible. Impolite. Reluctantly agree to a parking place but closed the gate early knowing I was going. Far from centre and dark area. Floor full of holes. If you step on one you may hurt your self with the sharp wooden so I have to move the furniture to cover them. We end with tables and chairs in all the odd places. A terrible experience. Won’t go back even if it was free. After 13 years using this website this is my FIRST BAD REVIEW ! Horrible experience. Beware.

I would go there again

Fun experience of staying in a ~250 y.o. colonial style villa, which were able to keep cool even when it was +35 outside (without the AC!). Very responsive and friendly hosts. Beautiful garden. Small playground for kids just in front of the villa.

For the money we paid -- nothing. It is very good. Not as a drawback of the villa per se, but as a mater of life: (North) Italy is noisy! So, be prepared. The villa is located at the lake, but by the road. There is traffic there. It produces noise 24/7. Bring ear-plugs with you!

Très bon séjour sur les rives du lac Majeur

L’emplacement tout près du lac Majeur. Le jardin privé magnifique. Le bâtiment , ancien palais, sécurisé. Stationnement aisé devant l’immeuble.

Pas de vue sur le lac majeur depuis l’appartement 104. Cuisine/pièce de vie très sombre.

Appartement dans une villa pleine de charme. Bien équipé avec balcon qui nous offre un plus pour un apéro ou un repas avec vue sur le lac. Nous n’avons pas eu de soucis pour le parking.

Merveilleux, une parenthèse italienne fabuleuse

Accueil très rapide et chaleureux. L’hôte nous a raconté l’histoire du bâtiment qui est exceptionnel. De vieilles écuries italo-canadiennes de 1800 passées de générations en générations dans la famille. Très facile de récupérer les clés. Et explications très claires pour accéder au logement. Par ailleurs il parlait français italien et anglais au moins : un Bonheur ! L’endroit est sublime, un jardin somptueux, une vue magnifique, un Parking gratuit juste en face du logement et le logement très très grand Au pied de l’église où nous nous rendions pour le mariage. Réveillés par les cloches ce fut super Nous reviendrons ! C’est certain. Merci mille fois

Un lieu parfait pour notre famille

Nous avions réservé 2 appartements. Les 2 étaient très beaux, dans des styles différents. Immeuble très calme, situé au bord du lac majeur. Non loin de stresa, facilement accessible en bus et train Belgirate et Lesa à proximité sont de très jolis villages bien équipés en commerces, restaurants. Les jardins sont magnifiques et reposants, le gérant très serviable et accessible Super séjour !

Außergewöhnliches Ambiente, aber nicht empfehlenswert für lärmempfindliche Menschen!

Die Wohnung im 1. Stock ist für 2 Personen sehr groß. Allerdings sind die Zimmer auch sehr vollgestellt. Die Möbel sind alt/antik und somit ergibt sich ein außergewöhnliches Ambiente. Die große Gartenanlage hinter dem Haus bietet diverse Sitzmöglichkeiten in verschiedenen Ecken. Während unseres Aufenthaltes haben wir niemanden dort getroffen, aber auch mehrere Mieter würden dort problemlos jeder sein Eckchen finden. Unser Hund war gegen einen kleinen Aufpreis von 30 Euro auch willkommen. Die Vermieter wohnen auch im Haus und hätten bei Problemen kontaktiert werden können, wir haben dies aber nicht in Anspruch genommen. Wir konnten direkt vor der Tür kostenlos parken, es sind allerdings öffentliche Parkplätze, daher weiß ich nicht, wie das während der Sommersaison aussieht.

Auch wenn man den äußeren Fensterladen, das Fenster sowie den inneren Laden schließt, dringt der Straßenlärm quasi ungefiltert ins Innere. Das Schlafzimmer geht zur Straße hinaus und erholsamer Schlaf war ohne Ohrstöpsel nicht möglich. Auch durch die Verbindungstür zur Nachbarwohnung hört man sehr viel. Unsere Nachbarn haben abends immer gekocht und wir hatten den Geruch dann ebenfalls in der Wohnung. Sauberkeit so lala (Schimmel in der Dusche)

La posizione è ottima. Si trova facilmente parcheggio. Se si è un gruppo numeroso, si trova facilmente posto per tutti. C’è un bel giardino.

Ci sono molte scale, quindi chi ha passeggini può fare fatica.

Très bien situé pour visiter le lac majeur et les fameuses îles Borromées

La vue sur le lac, l’appartement est très spacieux et le jardin est charmant.

Il y a une chambre traversante qui permet d’accéder à la seconde chambre mais cela ne nous a pas gêné dans l’organisation.

Herrenhaus Charme mit Italien Feeling

Casa Martelli ist ein beeindruckendes historisches Haus. Appartement und Gebäude sind mit Antiquitäten und Vintage Stücken sehr geschmackvoll und angenehm eingerichtet. Der Garten ist ein Traum. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Wir haben das italienische Herrenhaus Feeling sehr genossen. Es gibt Parkplätze vor dem Haus. Und für den Hundeauslauf genug Möglichkeiten in Belgirate. Es gibt überall Kottüten und Abfallbehälter. Ein schönes, malerisches Dorf mit kleiner Promenade.

Erwartung auf hohem Level: Es dürfte in der Küche ein Schneidebretter mehr sein, ein Salatbesteck wäre toll und ein helleres Licht über der Arbeitsfläche.

Panorama suggestivo

Siamo rimasti molto colpiti dalla bellezza (interna ed esterna) del palazzo storico e del verdissimo parco con piante secolari. Le finestre dell'appartamento affacciano sul lago e il panorama è incantevole. I cani sono i benvenuti ed è possibile farli passeggiare (ovviamente al guinzaglio) nel grande e fresco parco. In ogni caso basta attraversare la strada e si è subito sul lungolago dove si possono fare lunghe passeggiate. I proprietari sono molto cordiali e ci hanno messo a nostro agio. L'alloggio è ben accessoriato (c'è anche la lavatrice!) e la cucina ben fornita. Sicuramente ci torneremo.

Forse l'unica pezza è la strada, un po' rumorosa di notte. Ma la vista sul lago compensa tutto, riprenderei la stessa stanza potendo scegliere.
