Nice Historical Apartment with Beautiful Lake Views

Nice flat in a lovely old building in front of the lake. Beds were comfortable. Furniture old but functional. Gorgeous view of the lake. Within walking distance to a couple of cafes/restaurants and a pharmacy. Parking just across the road in public area.

Apart from salt, there were no condiments in the kitchen at all. Would have been nice to have had pepper, oil, vinegar at the very least. No washing machine available. We are all in our mid seventies and there were 4 flights of stairs to our apartment - found it very hard to carry bags up

Overall a great place and a bang for the buck although there is this issue mentioned before.

I received about 15 e-mails over a week or so prior to the stay asking me to fill in my personal information for the stay, and it was way too many e-mails for my taste.

Spacious apartment with a wonderful view!

The property is very spacious indoors and it is directly across the street from Lago Maggiore. The outdoor garden in the back of the building is very beautiful and a gem for this property. The location is great for walks along the lake front and it is an easy five to ten minute drive to either Stresa or to Arona. There are coffee shops in the area so easy to get breakfast. Grocery store is about a five minute drive away towards Arona.

We stayed three nights in early April and the nights were quite cool. The heat only stayed on overnight for one of the three nights that we were there. The blankets on the beds were sufficient for adults but this was not good for small children and infants. There definitely is a need for a better system to keep the children’s room warm.

Very good

The location was excellent, the view was beautiful (the room had a view towards the lake), the apartment was quite big and comfortable to be in. It was quite easy to board a ship (the place where you can board is very close to the building itself) and visit the islands nearby. The garden in the back was also quite nice.

Some of the furniture is older or authentic and adds to the atmosphere, but some of the furniture (an arm-chair for example) was a bit old, in a bad way.

The property itself is gorgeous, and the rooms incredibly decorated in a unique and charming style. The hosts are very attentive. The view of the lake is splendid. The garden in the back is lovely. It is a great value for the experience.

The location is just between towns, so you have to drive or walk on the main road (15 minutes) to get to the town areas.

Kein Ort zum Wohlfühlen

Das späte Check-In, die Freundlichkeit und die Hilfsbereitschaft des Sohnes des Besitzers, die Dusche, der Blick auf den Garten und auf den See, der verwunschene Garten.

Das Appartement war für uns leider kein Ort zum Wohlfühlen, die Atmosphäre erlebten wir als kalt und sind deshalb früher abgereist. Das Ambiente haben wir als ein Sammelsurium von alten Möbeln wahrgenommen. Der Möbelgeruch wurde durch ein intensives, sehr gewöhnungsbedürftiges Raumparfüm überspielt. Die Schränke waren für uns aufgrund des Geruchs unbenutzbar. Die Zimmer mit Seeblick sind wegen der stark befahrenen Straße extrem laut. Glücklicherweise hatte das Kinderzimmer einen Gartenblick und Ikea-Betten, so dass es sich dort mit einem offenem Fenster verhältnismäßig gut schlafen lies.

Klassisk italiensk charme på søbredden

Der er tale om lejligheder af varierende størrelse i en meget smuk, charmerende og herskabelig ejendom lige ud til søen. Renovering er foretaget med fuld respekt af ejendommens herlighedsværdier. Vi lejede to lejligheder. Den ene var kæmpestor med tre store soveværelser indrettet i hver sin stil, det ene med en enorm balkon mod søen. Den store dagligstue havde en mindre balkon. Køkkenet var veludstyret, og vi kunne tilberede aftensmåltidet i det. Den lille lejlighed var mere enkel, men også smukt indrettet. Til ejendommen hører en stor, smuk og stille have med mange siddegrupper. Udlejer bor selv i ejendommen. Han var altid tilgængelig og meget imødekommende. Opvaskemaskinen gik itu i et tordenvejr og blev hurtigt udskiftet. Man kan bade og solbade få meter fra ejendommen. Der ligger også en turistinformation med en umådelig sød og vidende ansat få meter væk. Der er ved turistinformationen færgeleje for søens færge og busforbindelse til lufthavnen. Der er gratis parkering lige overfor ejendommen. Der ligger et par gode restauranter og en cafe, der også sælger morgenbrød, få hundrede meter væk. Går man 10-30 minutter, er der flere restauranter. Belgirate er et godt udgangspunkt for ture på og langs søen, der er kun halvanden time i bil til Milano, og man kan gå dejlige ture i bjergene lige bag ejendommen. Området er præget af smukke gamle villaer fremfor moderne byggeri.

Man skal være opmærksom på, at ejendommen er gammel, hvilket påvirker indretning af fx badeværelser. Den ligger lige op til en ganske befærdet vej, så der er trafikstøj døgnet rundt. Der er som nævnt en vis afstand til restauranter, og vi fandt ud over en dagligvarebutik ingen shopping muligheder i området

Urlaub in einer stilvollen Villa am Lago Maggiore.

Außergewöhnliche Wohnung direkt am See, sehr stilvoll und liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir hatten einen Balkon und Zugang zu dem wunderschönen Garten. Die Lage ist ruhig und doch ist man schnell in Stresa und zB am LOV Strand.

Vervlogen tijden, mooie ambiance, grandeur.

T prachtige oude gebouw en de bijzonder mooie tropische tuin. Fijn bed, mooi uitzicht op t meer. Ook al was t met veel regen. De lange ouderwetse kleding, had ik nog mee moeten nemen. Je waant je in een sndere tijd. Dat is heel bijzonder. Hele fijne sfeer daar. Relaxt. Afval ook gescheiden, positief punt. Aardige eigenaar en behulpzaam. Zeer positief gevoel over.

Trappen omhoog met bagage. Eigenaresse wilde wel helpen hoor. Ik had geen balkon. Geen koffieapparaat, maar dat kon wel geregeld worden. Vond wat donkere haren in de badkamer, verder was alles wel schoon. De meubels, kastdeur keuken viel er zo uit. T duurdere gedeelte zag er mooier uit, met antieke meubelen. En zeer smaakvol. Ik vond mijn huiskamer niet zo gezellig en smaakvol ingericht. Daar kan wat meer zorg aanbesteed worden. Slaapkamer en badkamer oké!

Kann man machen …… muss man mögen

Im Grossen und Ganzen war es OK. Man wohnt halt in einer alten Wohnung, keinesfalls in einem sanierten Altbau. Die Grösse der Wohnung und die Aussicht sind bemerkenswert, wem das reicht für den ist es Ok. Für uns war es eher ein Fehlgriff.

Sehr laut von allen Seiten. Vorne von der Strasse ( alte Fenster, Einfachverglasung 4 mm, keine Dichtungen ) Von oben durch die Mitbewohner ( alte Holzhohldecken, keine Schalldämmung ) Knarrende Türen, Essengerüche aus der Nebenwohnung, das Wohnungsschloss war ein Witz und in der Küche nicht einmal eine Kaffeemaschine ein paar Spültücher oder Geschirrhandtücher etc. Das Wlan ist instabil bis nicht vorhanden Der Fernseher hat die Abmessung eines Computerbildschirmes

Dimensioni dell' alloggio (doppi servizi), giardino esterno fruibile, grande e ben curato (una vera chicca!), checkout flessibile, chiavi d'ingresso multiple e stoviglie a sufficienza.

Assenza di prodotti per la doccia e di tovaglie/tovaglioli. Porta d'ingresso vetrata. Tante comunicazioni via mail prima dell'arrivo.
