It smelled like pee. There was what looked like a bloodstain on the bathroom door. I was scared to sleep there. There were drunks screaming and banging around outside. I heard cursing and vomiting through the walls. The floor gave when you walked on it. The bathroom wall had a dent.

The photos of the facility were not current, the untidy surroundings and the over abundance of cats were crazy. The facility in the room was clean up this whole facility is very tired.

Very Comfortable Beds

Beds were great - very comfortable memory foam-type mattresses. While there was no breakfast provided, we found a good place to eat not far from the property in the historic district. Unit was very clean with good-tasting water straight from the tap. We traveled with our small dog, so we appreciated the safe neighborhood and grassy park where we took our walks.

Our only complaint was the overwhelming chemical smell of either cleaning solutions or air freshener used in the room. We had to turn the heat on to try to dissipate the fumes, as well as leave the door open for a while to air out the room. While we may be more sensitive than the average traveler to synthetic odors, there is not only the annoyance of strong, unnatural smells, but also a potential health risk associated with these types of fumes that should be of concern to all travelers.

The room, a bit dated, was very clean and the bed comfortable. The hostess was helpful and had good recommendation for breakfast, the Smokehouse.

A nice cozy motel in the mountain town of LA Grande, Oregon. Very nice and helpful staff and the room was very clean and comfortable. I like being able to park my vehicle right outside my room.

Stay was surprisingly comfortable. Host was very helpful and friendly.

There was no breakfast. We enjoyed the popcorn. LOCATION WAS GREAT.

The only complaint is the age of the building (and it's plumbing and cooling systems.) Our t toilet ran all night long and the air conditioner struggled to keep the room cool.

Good value & comfy option in quiet area

Very comfy beds and bedding was soft and many pillows provided. Ample and soft towels. Quiet area yet walkable to downtown. Good Kuerig options.No ice machine on site, but enough space in freezer to hold a bag of ice.

Hair dryer failed after less than 30 seconds and driveway exit apron a bit rough.

The location was ideal for my visit to La Grande, to attend an event and visit friends. A quiet neighborhood. The room was clean and very comfortable, especially the bed. The room extras were a pleasant touch.

Nice and quiet a good price!

The price point was great. I didn’t have one but they do have pet rooms available. The lady who met us was very nice and friendly.

The room smelled very musty. We went and picked up some Febreze and sprayed the carpets and that resolved that issue. At first appearance it looked shuttered.

Clean, comfortable and quiet.

This is an old motel showing its age, but very clean, comfortable and quiet. Easy checkin, easy parking, easy checkout. The bathroom was perfectly clean, always a bonus. There were extra touches, microwave popcorn, Keurig hot chocolate, plastic utensils in case you arrived with food and no utensils. Very nice soft towels instead of the rough ones I've had at bigger motels on my trip.

Very strong unpleasant odor of disinfectant or cleaning solution. Left the door open awhile, ran the air conditioner a couple of hours, and it got better but did not go away by morning.

I like being able to park near the door to my room. This place is so quaint. The bed is comfortable. I loved being greeted by the kitty in the office.

My only negative is thar the heater is close to the chair in the coffee corner.

Older motel but definitely taken care of and comfortable enough

Clean, comfortable bed. I say bed because one of the queen beds was too squeaky to sleep on. But, they were comfortable and clean. It's obvious, though it's an old motel, they take pride in it. The room is WELL STOCKED. plenty of towels, soaps, shampoos. Popcorn was a very nice touch along with hot chocolate. Nice hot shower. I would stay here again.

Not sure how this could be fixed but, no matter where you walked the floors creaked. There were two twin beds but one of them was evidently with springs it was quite noisy when you sat or moved on it. It just ended up that we slept together. Not a big deal

By way of the saving grace of interior cleanliness and comfort it was fine for an affordable overnight stay.

The exterior of this property could pass for an old school roach coach Raid bug spray ad. It is old, dirty and I was truly disappointed and worried when we pulled up to it. However, I was greeted by a friendly and professional clerk and when we entered our room I was extremely surprised and happy at how clean it was. The linens were immaculate and very soft and comfortable. The bathroom was super clean and the bed was comfortable. All in all it was fine for night’s sleep while just passing through.

The exterior appearance did not match the images found in the online site. It is very run down and looks outright horrible.

Great cheap room!

Front desk lady was lovely. Clean and cozy bed. What more do you want after a 7 hour drive? Felt safe, great sleep with minimal noise, close to downtown area.

The surrounding filled in pool and spa look a little crusty but doesn’t bother me. A few unsightly caulking jobs in the bathroom, but everything was clean and functional, so again, no big deal. Floors were creaky, maybe bothers neighbors, but not me.

Very nice hotel and would stay here again

The staff was very friendly. They left lots of very useful items in the room that you normally wouldn't expect at a hotel, such as plastic silverware, hot chocolate, and popcorn, in addition to the usual items. Also the beds were very comfortable. I liked the location, as it seems to be on the quieter side of town. I would stay here again the next time I am in La Grande.

The unit had a refrigerator with a freezer. That was nice. Roomy, reasonably firm mattress, clean.

WiFi was spotty, could be better. Unit reasonably large, definitely dated, probably built in the 40s or 50s, not updated, but carpets seemed clean as was bed.

Exceptional

This is a well furnished, fully capable motel with everything one needs and everything of perfect quality. The room is compact, but feels airy. The amenities are in perfect order, ready to use. We also saw deer in the evening grazing on the lawn.

Comfy and cheap.

It was worth the price. The room was small, the shower was dark, and everything felt a little old. However, it was all clean, well maintained, quiet, and private. TV was decent, and I slept well on the bed. I would stay again.
