Terrible
Smelly place. Advertised with ac but came with a box fan that was 30 yrs old and the control knob was broken. Flies everywhere. Didn’t come with foil or plastic wrap or ziplock bags for storage. Carpet in loft stunk like pee and rug in living room was extremely dirty. Could not get anyone to respond to my 50 emails and calls!!

I hadn't realized you have to drive to the beach. Theres no access within walking distance and if there had been you would have to cross a highway. Not good with an excited dog! Had I known I would have not rented this property.

I recently stayed at Vista Del Mar while there was a plumbing issue. Due to the issue I had to stay at a house I was told would be "no more than 15 minutes away" the house they reserved for my family was 45 minutes further than the house I reserved, each way. It was also drastically smaller than the house I reserved. I was expected to be out of the accomidation house at normal check out time, 10am and had a check in time of 4pm at the house I had reserved. I bought and brought food to cook for my family and would have had no place to cook them lunch or refridgerate my food. I was told over the phone the house I had reserved would be ready by noon. So we went before 4pm. The bathroom was still a mess with sewerage water and smelled terribly!! The plumber did not show up until after 12pm, while we were there. It was very loud and distruptive to my toddler attempting to nap at the time. Then they sent a cleaning lady. She arrived, tidied it up and the entire house smelled of bleach for hours after (though we were grateful it didnt smell like sewerage anymore). Due to all of this my family missed out on almost half of the trip, we missed a reservation we had made for near by attractions. With all of the inconvenience this caused my family I have attempted to request a refund for this house. The owner has not attempted once to make this right, refund any amount of money or reach out and speak with me after numerous attempts. This house was cute and cozy but due to how all of this has been handled, I would never deal with them again or recommend it.
Also, the front door would not lock when we attempted to leave for the beach for a few hours.

A lovely home with a nice location and view
We really enjoyed spending three nights here watching a winter storm and playing games by the fire. A fully stocked kitchen was great for making meals. Our two dogs loved playing frisbee in the yard when the storm cleared. The best part was the wheelchair accessibility so we could take my Mother-in-law. It was a very homey and welcoming home. We made a lot of good memories.
The carpet upstairs could be replaced.

It was a very cozy, homey-feeling place. Beds comfortable and kitchen well-stocked. Lots of privacy. Can hear the ocean. Between Yachats and Waldport, so close to everything and not far from Newport.
If I have to find something to complain about, a new skillet would be nice as the one here is old and peeling, but there is every kitchen gadget and pots and pans you would need, including baking dishes, crockpot, etc. Sofas looked like they needed to be cleaned but I just threw a sheet over them and they were comfortable. I can't find anything else to complain about. Good wifi and cable.

Has this property been rented before??? Tons of things were off/weird. From codes to get the keys, to WIFI, non-working appliances (dryer, oven is very temperamental). The property needs updating to be a comfortable vacation home where you could feel like your getting your moneys worth. Also, the cleaning people showed up an hour + early, saying we were late leaving - which was not the case according to our rental agreement. It was an odd weekend to say the least and we won't be renting this particular location again and can't say as we would rec it either.
