Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dayton South - I-675 by IHG

Location. Comfortable beds. Nice hot showers. Free breakfast.

Cleanliness. There was trash on the floor and the bathroom was half clean. Hot tub was broken and cold . Fitness room was 90 degrees and the temp control not available.

No outdoor seating area and the TV's in the rooms was way too small

The staff was exceptional from check in to check out... Breakfast selections were wonderful and attended to.... Cleaning staff did an amazing job and they, too, were friendly. Loved that the room was located close to ice/beverages and that the water pressure was very good and that the air conditioner worked so well!!

I like the properties location of everything and it was near my nieces house not far from where the funeral all the stores for shopping the shower hot water was beautiful food the staff in the morning breakfast are beautiful people very nice helpful very very accommodating always trying to help and was always apologizing. If something was not there I’ll give them a 100 because they were just perfect people there that day!!! Thank you for that !!!! 🏆🤩

 I did not like the low toilets they are too low to the ground. The beds are very hard. The mattresses are worn out really bad especially the ones that are near the televisions. They need to be replaced because I did not rest and I was not happy about that part I could not rest on that hard because it was like mattress and cut it in concrete And please they need to have higher sitting toilets, but everything else was nice but that’s the main thing. The showers was beautiful but the beds the toilet was terrible and it made me want my money back because I did not expect not to be able to rest, because the bed was so hard.

The staff was great. They were helpful, friendly, personable. Breakfast was good and lots of variety. The rooms were comfortable and clean

The swimming pool a bit to warm. Couldn't cool off from the hot tub because the swim pool wasn't cool.

I have never had a problem connecting to Wifi until now. one of the Tv in the room did not work the whole stay and no compensation was offered.

Lots of kids in pool all day

The breakfast was advertised as a all you can eat breakfast buffet however there was just a few options to choose from biscuits, sausage gravy, cheap egg and cheese patties from frozen some oatmeal and a weird pancake maker that had a sign saying broken was all the hot breakfast was. There was some muffins and bagels cold and some yogurt and cereal. I was expecting more hot food and more of a buffet not just a typical hotel breakfast.

All the websites Experian,Booking,Google all showed the pool and hot tub to look very large and nice. Apon arriving the pool room was not as advertised at all! The room was small so was pool and hot tub. Both are older and show with a greenish black ring on the cement in the hot tub with yellowish filters under water for it. The pool was heated but cloudy and smal. Then some reason my card was charged $10 more than the receipt showed when I checked in. I tried to ask why because I paid before entering room so couldn't of been for damages or anything like that but nobody was up at front desk as I stood waiting for a while. It was super busy couldn't use pool or gym after 5pm till next morning it was packed!! Then somebody was smoking very strong skunk weed in the elevator and the 4th floor reeked of skunk weed! As a smoker I had to go outside to smoke cigarettes but guess the hotel was ok with weed smoking in lobby and elevator cause you could smell it all over the hotel..The vending machine also took $2 off me no sign saying out of service but went to slide card for drink no drink. The room was ok no microwave and there was stains in carpet plus the air/heat unit in room was not working properly it barley blew any air out even on high and hummed loudly. The lack of air flow made room super humid. No vent in bathroom.

Wish they would have had offered bottled water with breakfast. They had no orange juice. They also are in the middle of upgrading and the hall to the pool was closed. I wish they would have told us that when making the reservation. Phone did not work and when I told manager, they never fixed it or seemed to care. We needed towels and had to go down to front desk since we could not call them. Hotel was dated. We will not stay there again.
