Pearl on the Concho

Good location a short walk from the town centre. On the main road out of town so handy for moving on the next day. Friendly staff on reception who allowed us to check in ahead of normal check in time.

It was a little outdated, old, but it was great. The pool was clean, all the areas for kids/adults were clean. The food was good, bar was awesome. I loved that my husband and I were able to sit and enjoy a drink while our kids played in the pool just feet away. It was also nice and warm inside, considering it was cold outside.

We have family living in the retirement community next door and it makes it so convenient to visit.

1. It was Dirty 2. Cockroaches in the room. 3. Fire alarm battery beeped all night with no answer at the front desk to replace the battery. 4. Leaking pipe in shower dripped all night. 5. Bed uncomfortable and Pillows were flat. 6. Tub was dirty

That place needs a lot of work Door locks did not work we had to change rooms Went from a large room to a small one had to pay the same price No hand rails on the stairs Will never stay there again

Family and I thought I was a good continental country breakfast. We loved the pool area and playground space. That was the main reason we booked this hotel. We had a good stay.

The light/exhaust fan in restrooms were very noise. Some lamps didn't turn on maybe bad bulb. Phone didn't work and we wanted to call front desk to ask for an iron because there were none. Just saying these comments for the benefit of property. But we didn't really mind any of these but there are easy things to fix and make rooms better. We rented 3 rooms. And we would stay there again when coming back to San Angelo.

Roach Motel!!!! The hotel is run down, roaches in the room and shower drain was clogged. Just disgusting. Would never stay here again. Just gross.

This place was SO neat for my boys! (3 & 7) they won several items in the arcade, loved the air hockey, played on the playground, and swam as much as they could! Loved it! Will definitely be back!

We didn’t love that you couldn’t bring your own drinks down to the pool! We love to have a beer or two while sitting at the pool. The bar didn’t open til 5pm so that kinda stinks! I understand not bringing in drinks after the bar opens, but being able to when it’s not open would be nice!

It is an older place, could use some updates in the bathrooms. Nothing bad just out dated.

Chlorine smell permeated the entire property. Overall, the facility was a little run-down and dirty. Television never worked.

I liked that it is a project in action. It is an older hotel that was abandoned. Their owner is reviving it into what will be a very family friendly hotel. Their pool and recreation area is exceptional now. I look forward to seeing their progress the next time we stop in San Angel.

The mattress on the bed could have been better but we both have bad backs so we need a really great mattress. The tub was draining very slowly but was usable. We did need more towels in the room.

The room temperature was as cold as we wanted to make it. The food was yummy. The pool was great. The music was awesome. The pool was the best! My little one had a blast with everything from the putt-putt/play area-arcade-to pool. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is a staple of San Angelo so it’s been here since as long as I can remember (though with different names). I decided to try it out on our stay this time (we come often) just to see how it’s coming along. They’re doing more renovations so it’s still a work in progress but I’m impressed with all they’ve done. I love it! Pearl of the Concho will be our go-to hotel from now on. I can’t wait to see what the finished product will be but we were happily satisfied with our stay. Great job to everyone who is keeping this hotel a comfortable, fun, & enjoyable stay away from home. AND for continuing to make it a special part of San Angelo… my wonderful home town.

I would’ve liked to have a microwave in our room but no biggie and I know they’re still modernizing the rooms so I’m sure those will come. I don’t like that no outside food can be eaten at the tables by the play area. Not sure the reason for that. I mean… they are tables.

bathtub and toilet stayed clogged the entire time, assisted for help several times and was told to wait until i went down to the office. needed toilet paper & towels so called and asked for more and was asked if i can come get it but I was unavailable to do so they said they will get it down to me and never once brought it to me. overall the room was clean but i found the staff fairly lazy and did not wanna help with what we needed.

Run down, needs updating, lots of noise from the atrium/pool area. Had an outside room that had issues so they moved us inside where it was noisy until 11pm when the pool closed.

The name.

The facilities are very old and it shows. Stained carpets, bathroom tub drain was all yuck and rusted. The ‘Exterior’ rooms are wild, with a door like a motel.

All the staff was great.

Water pressure in the shower.

They took all the microwaves and and coffee makers out of the rooms. I like to sit and drink a cup of coffee at night with popcorn and watch TV to relax we go there for their wonderful pool. All the game machines was broke. I want to be able to come back, please, and the beds were very hard and old
