The room itself was very nice looking and clean! I liked how big the mirror was and that it had lights surrounding it. The bed itself was very comfortable! The overall hotel looks newer and clean! The staff were friendly when I could interact with them.

The first night I was there I spent over 3 hours trying to get ahold of the front desk in at night because the wifi was having issues and online support said I had no choice but to contact the front desk. They had a sign up saying they were away helping other guests. For 3 hours? I called over 20 times throughout that time, sent a text to the guest support text thing, sent an email to the email on the website (they still haven't responded to me btw), and walked around the hotel looking for someone then waited in the lobby over and over. No one was there or they were sleeping in that back office where the phone was ringing. What if I was locked out of my room? I was furious I need the wifi for my job and I couldn't work. I had to call a random tech support number that I got BEFORE MY STAY when I called to find out the internet speed (which they wouldn't find out for me and when I asked for a manager to find out they said they were the operations manager) they gave me a number to call tech support so I called them and thankfully THEY handled it but why did I have to be up until almost 4 am doing my own internet I'm on vacation why could I get 0 help when every other night someone was there? Additionally, the second morning I got woken up by water so loud it sounded like someone was coming through my walls for hours before I finally called the front desk to ask what was going on. They were very kind and helpful I'm not mad at the staff person for this they offered to move my room but they said it's a known issue whyyyyyyyyy was I put in that room x.x no one should be in that room if it's a known issue that's SO LOUD I'm a heavy sleeper and it woke me and my dogs up because I thought a pipe burst. I spent the rest of the time in that room as little as possible. The pillows were also super uncomfortable they went instantly flat idk if they're feather? I brought my own thankfully so I was fine and did not tell them that was an...

This hotel is the gateway to the world famous Indian Signal Tree -- the main reason to visit Akron.

The staff was friendly and professional. The breakfast was better than in most hotels. We enjoyed a clean and comfortable two room suite with big TVs in each room.

No one cleaned our room after our first night of our two night stay.

The stay was nice.

I had requested a list of their gluten free breakfast items when I booked. I asked at check in and they said they could get me one, but I never recieved any note or communication about this. I have celiacs disease and have to avoid gluten and I needed to know if I had to pack a breakfast for myself. I was disappointed I never recieved any answer.

Nice hotel, nice staff... but we didnt get to use the pool which we were only told upon checkin

Staff was nice, room was good. we didnt get to enjoy the pool so I can not rate that - pool was closed. otherwise it was a decent stay, no major complainst besides the pool

At first the room I was put in was wet all along air conditioner, I was told issue was fixed but by the next morning it was wet all the way to couch. I notified Staff and they said they would move me to a new room. It was over four hours later they moved me. I was hoping for a room close by but it was two floors down and it was difficult to move all my things. Overall, after that I had a nice stay.

The 2nd room I was moved to was clean and comfortable.

The first room I was given room 215 was disgusting. It had a horrible putrid smell. The carpets were shined, the tub had mold in the grout, the floor was dirty and had hair and debris, the pull out sofa was full of old food and crumbs. I checked in at three thirty pm and told the front desk the too needed to be cleaned and left. I arrived back at 11p and the room was still uninhabitable . I had to move our luggage to another room at most 12a. The following day a fire alarm forced the entire building to evacuate at 3a. Thankfully no one was hurt but the kids were distraught the rest of the night. No accommodations have been made for this stay they was almost 600$ This needs to be rectified. I have added the photos and I have others. Please do not rent that room until the issues are addressed.

Bad business practices

Clean.

The tv didn’t work and then the power went out on day one. This meant that there was no electricity, no breakfast, no hot showers…the food I bought and placed in the refrigerator went bad…had to get dressed in the dark. Then instead of Homewood suites reaching out to remedy the issue, I had to reach out to them, and was told they would only refund half of my stay. I’m not a picky person, but this is incredibly bad business practice.

Great stay would definitely stay again

This property was very clean, we stayed in a one bedroom suite with 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa which meant there was plenty of room for us and our 2 teenagers. Bedroom even had a ceiling fan. Breakfast was good, plenty of choices, again very clean. Staff we interacted with were all very friendly. Location was close to lots of restaurants and shopping.

Let’s jump in Lobby floor was gross - elevator took me to wrong floor and entire floor was being worked on - hot water stopped working after one night and didn’t work all day until I called front desk - called front desk and asked for trash bags and never got them, called back and they said that I can pick them up at the front desk and then when I went down to get them, nobody was in sight, utility (like hefty black trash bags) trash bags were sitting on front desk. I waited around for 10 minutes and still never saw anybody. All I needed was more trash bags for my bathroom trash can. I didn’t need 30 gallon trash bags - maintenance man helped me jump my car and came to my room to explain why we had issues with hot water, nice guy.

The first 2 days there the main elevator did not work and my mother is 76 years old and just had knee replacement surgery plus there were no luggage carts when we were brining in our luggage to go to the third floor. I was very upset about these things.
